  • For those who want consecrations now....here's a thread to post the names of your candidates.

Just curious as to who you think is suitable.

Assuming you mean the neo-resistance, I say Fr. Ringrose. He is rock solid in the faith and not prone to polemics.

  • Fr. Ringrose
    Fr. Thomas Aquinas
    Fr. Faure
    Fr. Girouard

Not Fr. Pfeiffer!  He's the only one who can do what he does.  Maybe a SG if a structured is formed.  Frs. Hewko and Chazal are also indispensable in current duties.

    Just my opinion!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

No, the real Resistance as passed on by Archbishop Lefebvre not the Dutch-branded XSPX.

No one asked Neo-SSPXers for their opinion.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

I don't think Fr Pfeiffer would even accept it if offered.  It's not in his temperment.
I could see him as a Monsignor though...

  • Fr. Faure was asked by Archbishop Lefebrve to be consecrated a bishop. He refused at the time and Bishop de Galaretta took his place. My vote would be for him or Fr. Ringrose.

Hmmm... what if he had said "yes?"  How would that have changed the
    landscape?

  • Not sure Father Faure "refused" (and more than once) but rather may be he said to Monseñor Lefebvre something like "I am not good Monseñor" (that is his way) and leaving it to the Divine Providence. And, at the time, Monseñor De Galarreta was very pushy because he wanted to be. And, of course the last minute addition, HEagernessBF. But, what we have been knowing, was not known at the time. Anyhow, Neil, I think it is not good to look at the past in general (once our sins have been forgiven, naturally). Father Vargas once told me: You (and all) would have done the same things...

Father Faure is a sage and has suffered persecution since birth. Very balanced and convincing. A rock as to Doctrine and a sword as to his verbal and written words. No wonder the persecution. HEBF & Co. know very well whom to persecute...
