I have two more books to write.
One is in progress.
When those are done, the rest of my intellectual work will be devoted to compiling a commentary on the "Letters" and "Eleison Comments."
I suspect that multi-volume project will take the rest of my life.
Lent will see my (oft-announced) swan song here, and it will be a considerable penance for me.
On the chance I should forget, just wanted to say to Ladialaus and Claudel (and 2Vermont), that despite our battles, I never had any animus towards you (its just my way, which is admittedly rather brusk), and will remember them with fondness. I learned a lot from you three over the years, and believe it or not, I am rather fond of you all. Sorry if I sometimes crossed the line.
If you should ever want to get in touch with me after Lent, Matthew can connect us.
But the plan will be to make the book announcements, and not follow the aftermath.
I have several hundred email correspondences with His Excellency which place me in a good position to take on my proposed project, and he has done so much, I feel I owe him the attempt.
Besides, we all know I do not have the temperment for forum posting, and the project will provide a nice outlet for writing.
Yes, I am very much looking forward to Lent.
