Sigh! So once again we are relegated to meeting in hotel rooms every second or third month, when we can afford to have a resistance priest come and say Holy Mass for the remnant!
Now we not only need to pray for the Pope et al, but also our not-so-intrepid leader of the XSPX! God help us!

  • The "conservative" refugees fm the NO will more than accept this betrayal of ABL ( the St Athanasius of the late 20th century )...as long as their priest doesn't have a limp handshake...they get their weekly dose of bells and smells...and they occasionally here a conference where the commies are condemned ( without, of course, any mention of who brought us communism in central and eastern Europe and murdered millions of Christians )...well, the "conservative atmosphere " w/o any real militancy is all they ever really wanted anyway...to go back to the 1950's.. :geezer:

  • Yes, the 'enemies of the Church' have to be historically distant enough not to be easily recognised in the present when deals are being struck and accommodations made. In our youth we were constantly being told to oppose revolutionary ideas and the dangers of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ by those who now as our superiors are far less combative. They are adopting the feeble Latin Mass Society stance that has endured since the 1970s where diocesan bishops are to be respected and any friendly gestures gratefully acknowledged. Afterall, all they wanted was the Latin Mass ......

  • Oh yes, the days of demanding the supersubstantial nourishment are past, we live in the age of begging for the crumbs of subsistence and delight at the odd koshered morsel which falls our way.
