Fr. Pfeiffer is in England and has invited himself one of the "Northern Missions" (see. https://respicestellam.wordpress.com/the-northern-mission/). Fr. King has refused to meet him and is staying away from The Liverpool mission tomorrow. This means that the Mass is going to be celebrated by Fr. Pfeiffer. This is pretty much a hostile takeover of the mission.
To the
false JimD from the
real JimD (from a post at Cor Mariae):
Statement by the real JimDSomeone using the name " JimD " made a post on cathinfo about Fr Pfeiffer's brief visit to Liverpool last Saturday night 18 February.
My name is also Jim D.... and I want to make it clear that I had nothing to do with it.
It is a fictitious post by someone probably masquerading as JimD in an attempt to make mischief.
This is intolerable in a Catholic group because the good names of innocent people may be unjustly tarnished
I attended Fr Pfeiffer's Mass on Saturday night and Fr King's Mass on Sunday. The facts are these;
Fr Pfeiffer did not invite himself. A window of opportunity presented itself following the retreat in Wales, and we were all delighted his visit materialised, and that he made the effort to see us after nearly three years since he ministered to us as the first resistance priest in Liverpool.
Fr Pfeiffer's Mass was on Saturday evening. Fr King is never in Liverpool at that time so could not have made it had he wanted to.
I know Fr Pfeiffer was keen to meet but their paths never crossed.
Fr. King's weekly Mass took place as planned on Sunday in Liverpool, without any disruption.
It is fiction to say Fr Pfeiffer's visit was a hostile takeover of the Liverpool mission. I attended Fr Pfeiffer's Mass on Saturday night and Fr King's on Sunday evening and nothing of the sort happened
Fr Pfeiffer's report of his visit published on cathinfo was genuine, and an accurate reflection of the Liverpool resistance Mass centre, with the possible exclusion of his devilish humour !
I notice that respice stellam is referred to. This seems puzzling because although the site briefly refers to Fr King and his northern mission they have never published the dates of his Masses.
It is the Recusant web site that has done that for nearly two years!
The facts outlined above beg the question ;
Who made this totally fictitious post and why.?
It is so obviously false, why do it and why use a name the local congregation would indentify as one of their own?
If the perpetrator has any sensus catholicus left in them they would own up to what was a blatant attempt to deceive and mislead priests and laity, and blacken someone's name.
There's only one place those actions come from and it's not from God.
As happens in cases like this, the finger of suspicion is now being pointed, and will be unjustly tarnishing the names of innocent people.
I therefore request, for the sake of charity and justice in a Catholic group, that the person responsible owns up and failing that, the proprietor of cathinfo provides information that will identify the person.
This is not a witch hunt, it's an attempt to stop the finger pointing and damage to the good names of innocent people, injured by an I'll conceived prank.
If the person is identified, they can be forgiven and we can move on, and more importantly the finger of suspicion will no longer be pointed at innocent people, which is toxic in a small congregation.
In Fr King's sermon last Sunday he said that people are entitled to defend their good name.
This response is an attempt to defend
The good names of those injured as a result of a silly prank.
