  • Bishops’ Synod
God’s Law belongs to God and not to man.
Man must, with Christ, obey as best he can.

When the three-week meeting of Catholic bishops from all over the world opened in Rome on October 4 to discuss questions on the family, many Catholics feared that it would undermine the Church’s unchangeable moral doctrine, especially since Pope Francis is so intent on reaching out to immoral modern man. However, traditionally minded Catholics have been encouraged by the emergence before and during the Synod of substantial resistance by many Newchurch prelates to any such undermining. Only tomorrow will the Synod’s results be known, but certain things are clear, whatever those results may be.

Firstly, let nobody say that there is nothing Catholic left in the mainstream Catholic Church. Conciliarism may well have infected the faith and morals of many, even most, of its prelates, but to claim that all of them are utterly corrupt is a gross injustice and over-simplification. Obviously a number of them are doing their best to uphold God’s moral law.

Secondly, however, these (in this respect) good men are fighting from a weak position because dogma is the foundation of morals, and with Vatican II the Newchurch abandoned dogma. Dogma founds morals because, for instance, if God, Heaven and Hell (dogma) do not exist, then why should I obey the Ten Commandments (morals)? And Vatican II by its Declaration on Religious Liberty wrecked dogma because if, as it taught, a State must recognize the right of all its citizens to practise in public the religion of their choice, then Jesus Christ cannot be God, because if he is, then the State, coming from God just as much as all the men composing it come from God, can grant no such right to religions denying that he is God, and for it to grant such a right is implicitly to deny that Jesus is God. Thus 50 years before the Synod, Vatican II undermined in advance all subsequent defenders of Christian morals, however decent as men they may be, unless they repudiate Vatican II.

That is why, thirdly, as John Vennari argues (one need not agree with everything he says), the essential trick of those at the Synod seeking to change Catholic morals has been the “turn towards man” underlying all of Vatican II. Here is the trick: “God’s Church is for man. True, God cannot change, but his Law must fit man, and yesterday’s Law no longer fits today’s man. Therefore that Law must be adapted to modern times.” However the Catholic Church was purchased by the Blood of Christ not to pull God down to man, but to raise man up to God, and to provide him through Christ with the means of being thus raised.

And fourthly, as Michael Voris says (one need not agree with everything he says), the Synod has been full of “bishop babble.” This is because many Newbishops will never have been properly taught Catholic doctrine, in fact they may well have learned that there is no such thing as unchanging truth. Thanks to Vatican II their minds are adrift among the morals and anti-morals of all the religions of the world. It can be no wonder then if they are hardly capable of thinking, and if they run loose at the mouth.

And fifthly, as an honourable colleague from the Society of St Pius X says (he has been criticised before now in these “Comments”), even if the Synod were to close tomorrow with entirely Catholic conclusions, still God’s moral law will have been undermined by the mere fact of its having been questioned on major points for a length of time, officially and in public. Moreover this Synod seems sure to rest even true conclusions not on their objective truth, but on the bishops’ vote, so that the liberals can come back next year or the year after, for one vote after another, until they finally get what they want. Today the voting game belongs to them.

    Kyrie eleison.

With Vatican II the Newchurch abandoned dogma.

50 years before the Synod, Vatican II undermined in advance all subsequent defenders of Christian morals, however decent as men they may be, unless they repudiate Vatican II.

[Why and How "repudiate Vat.II?"  Because Vat.II was not a true Council of the Church but a hijacked synod with no adherence to Sacred Tradition;  therefore, by proclaiming it in truth as having been the ABERRATION in Church history that it objectively was, it can be DELETED from the books and rendered a dead letter.]

Thanks to Vatican II their [the bishops'] minds are adrift among the morals and anti-morals of all the religions of the world. It can be no wonder then if they are hardly capable of thinking.

This Synod seems sure to rest even true conclusions not on their objective truth, but on the bishops’ vote, so that [even if they don't quite get what they want this time] the liberals can come back next year or the year after, for one vote after another, until they finally get what they want.

    bzzzzzt

So if the Newchurch prelates uphold 15% of Catholicism, that's encouraging because we can't say that there's "nothing Catholic left"?

Just because 10% of Newchurch prelates still believe that sodomy and adultery are grave sins, this means that they're still Catholic?  PROTESTANTS believe that sodomy and adultery are wrong !!!  This sounds like V2 subsistence ecclesiology.  These bishops are Catholic but lack the "fullness" of the truth.

For crying out loud, your Excellency.

Indeed! "for to deny one point of Divine doctrine, is to deny all"

I hear the "ignorance" argument simmering somewhere in there.....

So Laddy where exactly is the Catholic church? Is the Resistance the  Church, or is it the SSPX,or perhaps the Sedes maybe?

A very good question.  I think this is the question we should all be asking ourselves at this point because it's pretty darn clear that the Vatican II sect is not the Catholic Church.

I agree with Ladislaus' and JPaul's comments, but I am grateful to finally see Bishop Williamson actually writing about the issues again.

The Catholic Church is probably seen most clearly in several nations with the least non-Catholic presence in them, such as France and Argentina.  In those two countries we can see a similar breakdown into three main political and spiritual factions.  In France they are the Catholic Nationalists led by Madame Marine Le Pen of the National Front, the Right Neo-Liberals led by Nicolas Sarkozy and the Left Neo-Liberals led by the current French Socialist President Hollande.  In Argentina they are the Catholic Nationalists led by the Federal Peronist Sergio Massa, the Right Neo-Liberals led by Mauricio Macri and the Left Neo-Liberals led by the Left Neo-Liberal Peronist Daniel Scioli, political heir to the current Left Neo-Liberal Peronist Argentine President Cristina Kirchner.

(BTW, "Neo-Liberals" and "Neo-Conservatives" are synonymous variations of the same ʝʊdɛօ-Christian Marxist apostasy.)

Among Catholics and ex-Catholics generally this might be seen as the Left Neo-Liberals who follow Pope Bergoglio/Francis, the Right Neo-Liberals who follow ex-Pope (?) Ratzinger/Benedict and the Catholic Nationalists who are represented in religion by Bishop Faure and the Traditional Benedictines in New Mexico, Columbia and Brazil.  Bishop Fellay and his Neo-SSPX together with the FSSP and SSCR are pretty clearly within the Left Neo-Liberal Pentecostalist/Anabaptist camp of the Left Neo-Liberal regime that currently occupies the Vatican City State in Rome.

Therefore the Catholic Church is specifically the religion of the contemporary Catholic Nationalists.  That Nationalism is in turn generally composed of the best monarchist elements, those in electoral politics who are the heirs to historic mainstream Catholic political nationalism (aka fascism) and those highly militarist Catholics who are the heirs to the popular Catholic Wagnerianism of the Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries.  One should note that Popes Pius XI and XII were quite in harmony with the mainstream of the Italian Fascist Party and Pope Pius IX, St. Pope Pius X, Pope Benedict XV and Pope Pius XII were also all of them fervent devotees of Richard Wagner and Wagnerianism.  As for the question of exactly which existing Catholic claimants to various thrones are genuine Catholics and which are bogus pretenders, honest examination will reveal that some among them are genuine Catholics deserving of the most serious respect.  For example, the Carlists and Camelots du Roi are certainly deserving of respect.

It seems that Bishop Williamson and Fr. Pfeiffer have now chosen to retire themselves from serious public life.  Even though the dastardly "Ambrose" has proven himself to be a farcical failure, both Fr. Pfeiffer and Bishop Williamson appear to be angling for some comfortable sinecure in the existing Novus Ordo led by the current Left Neo-Liberal Vatican regime.  But however that may be, Bishop Williamson would do better to enjoy a peaceful retirement.  He has no good reason to trouble himself further with the idiotic and worthless Neo-Liberal Novus Ordo.

We should understand that the Neo-Liberals/Neo-Conservatives are nothing more than the furthest right Marxist faction of the Russian Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.  They were purged by Stalin circa 1922 and took refuge in Vienna, Austria from whence they formed the Mount Pelerin Society in Switzerland and then proceeded to dominate the world beginning with the decline of the Soviet Union in the 1980s.  Therefore Neo-Liberals, whether Right or Left, are Marxist apostates and traitors.  They deserve no respect whatsoever from anyone.

It grieves this writer to see that Fr. Pfeiffer choses not to admit his grave mistake in welcoming the diabolical "Ambrose" to celebrate the holy liturgy in Boston, Kentucky.  That is horribly frivolous and irresponsible of him and he has now, so to speak, "missed the boat".  The fact that he has talent only increases the guilt of his apparent criminal negligence.  He could surely do much better and it seems he has so far chosen not to do so.  How sad!

Evidently the good fruits borne by the many works of the Argentine SSPX priest Bishop Andrés Morello indicate that Bishop Morello is also deserving of our respect.   The best sedevacantist writers, such as the Mexican Jesuit Fr. Joaquín Sáenz y Arriaga and the Argentine literary genius Carlos Alberto Disandro, also deserve great respect.

Nevertheless most sedevacantists have fallen into the typical Protestant errors, such as fideism, rationalism, private judgement, and at least practical denial of the Catholic eschatology of Heaven, Hell and the Parousia.  The mystic death of Holy Mother Church on earth is not a matter of juridical detail, but rather of eschatology and the End of Days.  The inescapable solution must come from the Second Coming of Our Lord, not from any juridical splitting of hairs by lawyerly sedevacantists.

There also remains much room for charity among Catholics.  Nowadays our virtuous monarchists more or less embody our historic First Estate of the clergy, since they are duty-bound to provide patronage and protection to the existing persecuted remnants of Catholic clergy.  The Catholic knighthood who follow in the footsteps of our Roman Army, Dante and the Wagnerians more or less embody our historic Second Estate, the Nobility.  Finally those who emphasise our historic corporatist economics and Nationalist (often Fascist) politics more or less represent our Third Estate, the Commoners.  The latter (for example, Madame Le Pen) are the relatively inferior Catholics and as such they deserve more charity and compassion than anyone.

Together these three groups represent the Blessed Trinity among us, with monarchists and their clergy showing forth God the Father, the Catholic fighters showing forth God the Son among us and the more popular Catholic political and economic nationalists showing forth the Holy Ghost.

Decadence can be described as a lack of seriousness and therefore clergy such as Bishop Williamson and Fr. Pfeiffer appear to be more than a little decadent.  We can only know our leaders by the fruits of their actions and by that standard Bishop Faure and our Benedictine monks are indeed serious clergymen entitled to our loyalty.  Meanwhile the religious authority of the historic Catholic Papacy, whatever the juridical fine print, has clearly ceased to exist and therefore the Parousia is upon us.

As we have always been told would eventually be the case.

Am not a disciple of the heretic Protestant Freemason Albert Pike and there is no such religion as "Hitlerism". Might as well be accused of an alleged new religion called "Danteism" or "Virgilism".  We already have the true religion and it is Roman Catholicism.  And, among Catholics, "Wagnerianism" is only a respectable philosophy, never a religion.   Wagner is the heir to Mozart and among Catholic musicians Mozart is universally acknowledged to be the Voice of God.

Pope Pius XI officially approved the teachings of the German Catholic Benedictine Dom Odo Casel as perfectly Catholic in 1926 and there is an end to it.  Dom Casel's traditional Benedictine teachings are also central to Pope Pius XII's Encyclical Mediator Dei and to the schema On the Liturgy prepared for the Catholic Second Vatican Council that the legitimate religious authorities of the Catholic Church had intended but that was never to be.  This Benedictine theology provides the essential liturgical inspiration for the Roman Missal of 1962 and Roman Breviary of 1961.  In this way we can see that German Roman Catholics are Catholics and Catholicism does not somehow stop at the German border.

Popes Pius XI and XII and the Conciliar Preparatory Theological Commission of Holy Mother Church have more authority in these matters than The Real McCoy -- or this lowly Franciscan.
