  • Inside Story – IV November 8, 2014
    Number CCCLXXXII (382)

The Bishop’s Roman plans were well on track
Till Providence intervened and held them back.

And so we come to the climax of the inside story of the outside events of the Rosary Crusades of the Society of St Pius X six years ago. Would Bishop Fellay choose Heaven’s solution to the crisis of Church and World, trusting in Our Lady’s promise at Fatima of Russia’s conversion and a “period of peace” if only Russia is consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart, or would he choose the human solution of talks with Rome to fabricate a synthesis of Tradition (2+2=4) with the Council (2+2=4 or 5)? We can be certain that this is not how the Devil presented the choice to the Bishop, especially when in June 2008 the Romans came back into play.

In that month the Vatican became aware of the possible Rosary Crusade for the Consecration of Russia through a letter which the same messenger of Our Lady had addressed to Pope Benedict XVI, invoking his blessing upon such an endeavor. The Vatican took the letter seriously. Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos ordered Bishop Fellay to return directly to Rome from Hawaii where His Excellency had gone to administer the sacrament of Confirmation. On June 4, Cardinal Castrillón with a group of several Roman prelates threatened Bishop Fellay that if he were to call for a Rosary Crusade for the Consecration of Russia, Rome would close the door to any future discussions, and Rome would revive the dormant “excommunications” which had for the time being been rendered inoperative. That was also when the Vatican tried to impose on Bishop Fellay the “Vatican Ultimatum,” or five conditions necessary for any discussions.

So under this Roman pressure, Bishop Fellay had still not decided in the early autumn of 2008 to do as Our Lady asked, despite her repeated requests, and in fact on October 5, 2008, despite her direct warnings, he chose to apply the Second Rosary Crusade, set to run from November 1 until Christmas, to the intention of the “excommunications” of 1988 being lifted. On the same day Our Lord displayed His anger to the messenger of Our Lady by a vision of Him bringing down His hand to destroy the SSPX, while he referred to them as “Pharisees and hypocrites,” and said, “I can no longer put up with them.” But in the very moment of Our Lord’s hand falling, the messenger saw the Blessed Virgin Mary interceding on the Society’s behalf, pleading for mercy and saying “Remember the weakness of men.” The messenger then saw Our Lord’s anger immediately give way to His mercy.

But the Bishop’s mind was now made up. Three weeks later on October 26, at the Pontifical Mass climaxing the Society’s pilgrimage to Lourdes for the 150th Jubilee of Our Lady’s apparitions at Lourdes, he went ahead with announcing that the second Rosary Crusade would be dedicated to the lifting of the “excommunications” of 1988. On December 16 he wrote in private to the Pope, as requested by Benedict XVI, the letter asking the Pope for the lifting of the excommunications of 1988. On January 24, 2009, these were partially lifted by Rome. Bishop Fellay directly attributed this to the intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and he must have exulted in this seeming triumph of his patient diplomacy.

Alas, any triumph was short-lived, because within days the enemies of Catholic Tradition fired off in their worldwide media a torpedo perfectly designed to blow out of the water the threatening reunion of the Catholic Pope with Catholic Tradition. When the six-minute film clip from November 1 of an SSPX Bishop casting serious doubt on the “h0Ɩ0cαųst” and “gas chambers” of World War II was made public, Benedict XVI had to run for cover from the deadly accusation of consorting with “αnтι-ѕємιтєs.” The SSPX-Rome agreement was blocked, for at least a few years. (To be concluded.)

    Kyrie eleison.

  • My, my, my, this is really good stuff!  I love it.  The bishop has not backed off one inch on his assertions about the "messenger" of Our Lady.   This one thread should catch up easily with 'Women in Pants' in a week or less. :nunchaku:

Well now he has brought Our Lord into it. And it seems he is suggesting a God told me to do it line for himself and the "media torpedo".

I would need to see direct confirmation / evidence of this.  Otherwise I call deep bovine excrement.  What's the source for this?

  • The Vatican receives thousands of pieces a mail a day, perhaps hundreds of thousands.  Many from pious people asking for his prayers and blessings for whatever.  And yet HER letter, simply addressed to the Pope in Vatican City, caused Bishop Fellay to have drop everything from the other side of the world and come get a smack-down?  Mrs. A's letter happens to reach the Pope and cause Rome to panic and issue dire threats? If, by some stretch of the imagination you can believe that her letter reached the Pope's hands, why would he would care about some unknown lady in Florida telling him that people would be praying for the Consecration of Russia?   If anyone believes this, I have a bridge to sell them in Brooklyn.

  • What is still to be solved or at least analyzed is the fact that not too long (at least up to March 2013) Dawn Marie was still trying to gain sympathy from the mainstream Society through the person of the Prior of Sanford-FL, Fr. Marc Vernoy; even to the point of having him saying Mass on the regular basis for them over her relative/sister's house. (See Dawn Marie's youtube channel)

Ironically, this is the same Priory/Chapel Bishop Williamson had agreed with me, in person, this was a red-light chapel and that people could try to find alternatives thereof.

Another priest from this priory who have been over her place is Fr. Jean Devaulx de Chambord, a young priest who have left the Society all together claiming: "I have to tell you some sad news. I had some serious problems in the apostolate of my Congregation, the Society of Saint Pius X. I had to leave it, unfortunately. These problems were about our work of priests: several souls were left in danger of eternal damnation. And we are priests to save souls."  (See whole letter here)

In just about a year later we can see , she was kind enough to post something that could prove to her enthusiastic followers she was close to get her story to be validated by a person with a much greater public. She also said to her followers it was +W himself who had paid her expenses to get to Mexico.

The story caused quite a friction since some priests --and lay folk alike-- denied vehemently H.E. had brought anybody to Mexico at the time, maybe they were really not aware of this fact. In any case, Dawn Marie had to post something to her followers and that is --unfortunately for her-- what has proved a lot of naysayers wrong.

Oh well, let the Tradjugorje continues...

For what it's worth, in 2008 I also sent a letter to the Vatican and received a timely response from Msgr. Perl.

Just because they receive millions of letters and packages doesn't mean they're sitting around eating cashews and not reading the stuff.  I would imagine an alleged visionary would certainly have gained more attention than my handwritten letter.

I can undertsand skepticism, but you can't just disregard the Comment based on such flimsy assumptions.

  • With all due respect, I hesitate to believe this apparition.

    1. The Church told me to ignore/despise private revelations unless a miracle is given to prove it is from God. I wish to humbly obey this directive.

    2. Would Our Lord really be as "anachronistic" as Billy the Kid, Socrates, Napoleon, Sigmund Freud, Beethoven, or Genghis Khan?  I mean, that was a great plot for "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure", but wouldn't Our Lord only stand out in a good sort of way (as in the only sane dignified One in a crazy world).

Would he really use phrases that made sense in 30-33 AD but much less sense today? I mean, the Pharisees as a sect no longer exist. He used to call the Pharisees "hypocrites" -- he didn't call individuals "Pharisees and Hypocrites" as an insult. He didn't use "Pharisee" as a metaphor! There's a big difference.

Now to a bible-reading 21st Century Catholic, it sounds reasonable at first glance. But when you think about it more deeply...

I just have my doubts; that's all.

I couldn't picture Our Lord among this crowd:

I apologize for stating that it wasn't Dawn Maria; apparently I didn't recognize her last name on a French accent.  Very few people give credence to the story.  It seems to get a bit wilder with each comment.  I don't have any thoughts to add.

  • I can see the letter being read by the Vatican.  What I find preposterous is that they would summon +Fellay in emergency fashion on account of this and that this concern would register as more than a blip on the Vatican's radar.

  • Here's the money quote for me:

Reminds me of the Duchess' lullaby:

Speak roughly to your little boy
and beat him when he sneezes
he only does it to annoy
    because he knows it teases.

I speak severely to my boy
I beat him when he sneezes
    for he can thoroughly enjoy
    the pepper when he pleases.

Here he is as he arrived at Heathrow:

I get the distinct impression he's deriving a vicarious pleasure reliving those events all over by posting ECs that revive the attention he gained all those years ago.

Hollingsworth is quite correct: this does have all the potential to exceed "Slacks 1 & 2": Hence: the bolded words in the lullaby.

he only does it to annoy
    because he knows it teases.

    Please pray for my soul.
