.
Yes. We are seeing the downfall of a good bishop, and
it's sad to see.
This is a real tragedy. He confirmed all of my children.
And now this.
¡Ay caramba! It's tragic to see Bishop Tissier going soft. He has often preached against heresy but now is silent when it comes to heresy. He, like Fr Morgan is putting the SSPX before the faith and truth. We cannot depend on either Bishop Tissier or Fr Morgan..
When I heard his sermon at the confirmations in 2006, I recall that
he had a few very strong statements, and at the time, I had wished
that there had been a lot more of those strong words. Due to the
lack of the rest of them it seemed to fall a bit short. But I didn't want
to believe that was the case. I recall saying to people that I wanted
to hear more and that H.E. had left us not quite filled up, and they
assured me I was imagining things, and that I shouldn't be so critical.
But when I heard +Williamson give a confirmation sermon just a few
years before, in 1999, I was filled to overflowing. You could say that
had been a tough act to follow. At the time, I wrote it off to the
language barrier, and figured that +W's words hit me harder because
his English is my English. And +TdM's accent and sentence structure
had to be mentally filtered to imagine what he was actually trying to
say. But now I see, it was more than that.
..It would be fantastic if Fr Hewko was consecrated a Bishop. He is a fighter unlike both Bishop Tissier or Fr Morgan.
Yes, I don't see in Fr. Hewko any of the weaknesses that I thought I
saw in +TdM. I don't find myself questioning anything and so I don't
hear anyone telling me that I'm just imagining things. I saw +TdM
holding back, not saying things he was obviously capable of saying.
I wanted to hear A, B and C and all I got was A, and maybe B.
But with +W and Fr. Hewko, what I get is MORE than I bargained for.
They never leave me short changed. When I come expecting A, B
and C, they give me A, B, C, D, E and F, too.
Those that believe that the SSPX IS the Catholic Church also believe it must be preserved at all costs. Even if their faith changes or is lost.
I have seen this. I recall hearing someone react to my friend who
said (10 yrs ago) "There is no salvation outside the SSPX," by warning
him that if +W heard him say that, he would excommunicate him. But
I don't hear these things anymore.
What I hear is, "The SSPX priests are all good priests and they won't
let anything bad happen to the Society." And, when I raise questions
like with the AFD and the SARD, they say that I'm not being charitable,
and that I'm not obedient, and that I'm showing a lot of pride to
criticize the Superior General.
The content of laity conversations has changed in 10 years.
I'm going to remember this, Zeitun, so that I can ask them:
Do you believe that the SSPX IS the Catholic Church?
Do you believe that it MUST be preserved at ALL costs?
What if your faith changes while the SSPX changes?
Or, what if you lose your faith trying to keep up with Bishop Fellay?
It would do them good to hear these questions from me,
because I don't think they're going to hear these questions
from their ExSPX chapel pulpit on Sunday. No way!
