Gerard, give that your posts are increasingly creative and full of misdirection and false assumptions and assertions. Arguing with you gives one the feeling that he is discoursing with a conciliar jihadist.

I shall not further indulge your penchant to rework bare obective facts into the neo-catholic post conciliar narrative.

And besides that, it is Lent, and I do not want to continue immersing myself in discussions about the un-Catholic and unholy things which, to this day, are still corrupting the thinking and attitudes of  the remnant of Tradition.

It is time for the things which elevate and tend toward God.

I will pray for you, and Bishop Williamson during this time.

Gerard's list of enemies of the Church was once standard fare of the SSPX before it started being nice to them. He now suggests doing otherwise marks one out as a bitter and hardened traditionalist. This is having your cake and eating it. By all means vaguely admit the Church has had enemies but do not dare to identify them today in case it causes personal discomfort! I am sure many elderly SSPX priests have now adopted this policy whilst the young ones have no idea what a freemason is!

That's quite the load of crap. The enemies of the Church are the enemies of the Church.  It's not my fault that Pope Francis is one of them in his words and actions and Fr. Cekada is another in his words and actions.  They are just two sides of the same coin.  The Dimond Brothers have been off the rails as long as I can remember.  I supported the SSPX vigorously till they got political by being the puppets of the enemies of the Church by silencing Willamson. I used to both enjoy and defend when necessary Fr. Pfeiffer until he veered off in his sermons from good, solid Catholic teaching and started rambling on with flights of fancy about Gabriel the Archangel being disobedient at the Annunciation and I've heard stories of him claiming Ratzinger or his family were practicing Satanists   Now look at the mess he's made of his "mission."

I didn't gloss those things over as "pragmatic" or ignore them.   That also doesn't mean that everything in the SSPX has gone to Hell in a hand basket or Frs Cekada or Pfeiffer can't someday get their heads screwed on right, nor does it mean everyone in their orbit is a damned soul.  It's the same situation in the conciliar Church though to a greater degree and on a larger scale obviously.

I'm not the only one that has noticed this trend among certain trad "cliques" to condemn without discernment nor distinction.

All this talk of Williamson changing is nonsense.  Those claiming it are either go green they don't know what they are talking about or they've been snoozing behind the wheel for decades.

In 2003 Williamson was telling people that we shouldn't be surprised by the changes in ranks in the traditionalism, which people will fall or veer off and which will come around.  That's the way people are and we pray to persevere in the truth.

You are creating straw man arguments again.

No surprised that you run. You can't answer simple questions because the correct answers undermine your positions.

You sound like quite the Pharisee.

Paradoxically, it's through humility, not the pride you display that you can achieve that goal.

Very nice, Thank you.  And pray that God gives you some added light.  Just in case..you know.  I

This is typical Williamsonian script: enemies to the right of me, enemies to the left of me. A quest for moderation. Be careful you are not becoming a brand, one that would be intellectually painful to define!

I have noticed a pattern here where the latest breakaways from the SSPX have to claim moral superiority over previous ones. This would be quite an analysis considering the huge numbers that have passed through its portals. Since I parted company in the 1980s, I must be higher than Fr. Cekada's group but lower than the FSSP. And so I have to warn good folk that the next batch of defectors will occupy the high ground for awhile putting Bp. W's particular disaffection in the shade! Should Bp. Tissier ever escape his chains, he may well create his own French-based network suited to his own revivalist style. And so it goes on .......
