Whether it be Fr. Rostand, Bp. Fellay, Bp. Tissier and all the French priest that we have had to hear.

In fairness to Fr. Rostand, he is pretty good on his feet.  His English is pretty good and very understandable as a rule.  I think Bp. Fellay in a second tongue feels he can better obfuscate and cover over matters he does not wish to fully reveal.  He tends intentionally, I think, to use broken English at times and at times deliberately convolutes his sentence structure in order to add to our confusion.  If we don't understand him, then we simply conclude that it's because he doesn't speak the language  that well. Thus, we make excuses for him and he is not forced to make excuses for himself, or to apologize for not making himself absolutely clear on a given issue.

This seems like a petty thing to whine about, Bowler.

In these current times of great apostasy, I am glad and grateful that we at least still have priests, regardless of their foreign accents.

Let's pray for American vocations and that God continues sending us holy priests.

We're lucky to have them, and to have them forming the young American priests; and we faithful are well advised to sit at their feet, fierce accents and all.

There is so much to say regarding this assertion.

Dear J. Paul,

Well, then, why not say it?
