  • From last week's controversial statement on the Jєωs, per CNS:

"Bishop Bernard Fellay, the society’s superior general, said those most opposed to Rome granting canonical recognition to the SSPX have been “the enemies of the Church: the Jєωs, the Masons, the modernists."

    Question:

    1) Should this statement be read to mean that only enemies of the Church oppose a practical accord for the SSPX?

    2) If so, does it not also imply that friends of the Church support a practical Rome/SSPX accord?

    3) And, if these are true, does it not show that Bishop Fellay is still very much desirous of an accord?

    4) Or, is this all reading too much into the statement, and Bishop Fellay was simply stating the obvious fact that the enemies of the Church fear to see Her make an accord, which they would interpret as taking a step away from V2?

  • I would think that the Jєωs would shout with joy and dance on the tops of vans IF  the sspx met with Rome in a practical agreement and, in turn, merge the Society to counterfeit Rome.

Those most in opposition to an accord with Rome are priests and faithful within the Society. The statement by Bp. Fellay is missleading - hopefully not an intentional insert of deception.
