What is this new religion of the empty chair you are dabbling in?
Did not Our Lord Jesus Christ come to fulfill the scriptures? Did He come to earth to preach the new gospel of salvation, and open for His believers the Kingdom of Heaven? Anywhere, in all His discourses, did He say or even infer that one could only understand His salvation plan if one has advanced degrees in learning, voluminous books with which to research, and a whole lifetime of time to parse the nuances of His Faith ?
Rather, didn't Christ come for the average man? Should not someone, with average intelligence and common sense, be able to see that a copy is not the same as the original? Wouldn't any average person expect that a vice-president endorsed, supported, and believed in the principles of the president? Would not the average person fully expect that the Vicar of the Emperor would promote exactly the program that the Emperor himself promoted? And if one were to find the Vicar General promoting a program, or a belief, or a faith, exactly opposite that of the King, wouldn't the average-intelligence man say ,"Hey, what's up?"
Wouldn't our average Catholic-in-the-pew say, "wait-- this guy's a fake; or he's a fraud, wait til the King sees what he 's doing!" Wouldn't our typical Catholic say , " well, I don't know what's going on, but this stuff is not the Catholic Faith of my King, and I'll not go along with these stupidities!"
Why the pre-occupation with an empty Chair or a chair filled with a fraud and a fake? The consequences for the Catholic are the same-- have nothing to do with the empty chair; and have nothing to do with the fraud and the fake! And Our Lord Himself told us how to discern the fraud and the fake: the fruits will be rotten. Not half rotten and half good-- a rotted fruit is rotten; it's tossed by the shop-keeper onto the garbage pile; the rotted fruit is cut away and thrown out by the housewife--she does not feed it to her children.h
Sometimes we forget a key aspect of this whole debate: none of us hired Bugnini; none of us opened the windows of the Church to the smoke of Satan; none of us brought Montini, Wyjtola, or Ratzinger on board. We were born, or baptised, Roman Catholic; and we see how Satan is sifting the entire Church; and we are determined to understand, and hold onto, and pass on, that faith which St. Paul left us.
And that is exactly what Archbishop Lefebvre spent the last twenty-two plus years of his life-- trying to pass on the faith he had been given. Sadly, the SSPX no longer passes on the faith given to the Archbishop; now they are selecting, and picking and choosing, amongst the palatable
beliefs of Ratzinger and Brogoglio, those things to pass onto future ecuмenists.
