Yes, control tactics straight out of the liberal-leftist handbook . . . therefore straight out of hell!
This is not how the soldiers of the light do battle.
For reasons we already know, Bishop Fellay has done great evil by delivering the Society into the hands of ʝʊdɛօ-Masonic Rome . . . without the latter ever having had to fire a single shot.
The "good" SSPX priests who purportedly hate the errors of Vatican II but who remain silent--only preaching on the "safe" subjects such as the virtues and the saints--are heaping up no less evil. For they lead the faithful away from the Faith little by little by their silence and inject new life into the deadly false sense of security that the old SSPX is still "a-okay" and still going strong.
I have been guilty of this stupidity myself, so I mock no one without recalling my own foolishness and idiocy of baseless optimism regarding the Society!
It's these "good" priests, ironically, who do the most harm in the end (and who therefore remain the most useful, convincing tools of the devil), precisely because they do the most to keep the faithful from waking up to the reality of this crisis. Menzingen loves them because they keep the faithful where Menzingen precisely wants them . . . without ever having to fire a single shot.
I cannot obviously cast judgment on the personal culpability of these silent priests, but objectively, they do great evil--essentially letting the children to continue sleeping comfortably in their beds even with the unmistakable smell of smoke ascending from below. What true parent would do that?
If the Vatican is on its A-Game, it would likely let the Neo-SSPX carry on as it pretty much does today, upon its canonical regularization, making it a false oasis distinct enough from the other loser groups that have surrendered from Day One, so as to "fool even the elect" into thinking that, "Hey, we really are converting Rome from within!"
This new fully reintegrated Neo-SSPX would be as a powerful magnet to seal the fate of those who've never felt quite comfortable with the openly pro-Vatican II "trad" groups such as the FSSP but who've been more than hesitant to give heed to the warnings of the Resistance Fathers. All they need is convincing enough proof that the Vatican kept its end of the bargain and that Bishop Fellay was right all along!
Outwardly, they may be granted the following liberties:
1. Unconditional exemption from saying the New Mass
2. Freedom from the diocesan bishops and getting to build priories at will
3. EVEN freedom from ever having to teach a single docuмent of Vatican II
So what's the catch?
1. Silence from speaking ill against Rome (condemn errors in the abstract only--no naming names or cranking out open letters as in the days of ABL--maybe just open letters of praise and gratitude)
2. SLOWLY sow the seeds of relativistic thinking in the seminaries so that contradictions in the teachings are easily blended away or claimed as being "too complex" in the reality of things. The one give away when someone refuses to submit to the truth is when he tries to muddy the waters by saying that a given situation is "just too complex" for the otherwise clear-cut principles to apply--the classic "smokescreen" of the devil.
So there you have it, my friends . . . a reintegrated Neo-SSPX that will be given liberties unheard of by previous groups precisely to draw in the remaining remnant faithful (to "finish the job," if you will)--liberties that Bishop Fellay would no doubt tout as the answer to his Nth rosary crusade or Menzingen bake sale.
Rome is not dumb. It will not treat the reintegrated Neo-SSPX as just another piece of stamped metal. They're gonna want to get some mileage out of this new puppy!
Anyway, here's an excellent You Tube sermon by Fr. Pfeiffer that speaks to the subject of these "good" but silent SSPX priests. It's not new, but if you haven't heard it already, please do!
God bless! Keep resisting folks! For us as Catholics, this is the fight of our lifetime--fighting for the rights of God, Christ's Kingdom, and incidentally saving our souls. It's Bishop Fellay and his cohorts who have turned this sacred mission into a rationalist word-game and power grab . . . a mockery before God!
