    • Nossa igreja - Mosteiro da Santa Cruz

    35 years after our foundation, the time has come to build a larger church for our monastery.

    The new church will not only facilitate our contemplative life, but will also allow us to welcome a greater number of believers, which has been growing increasingly due to the large families that have come to live around Santa Cruz.

    • I know a young man from up in my neck of the woods who went there to try his vocation.

    He said it was the most miserable climate he ever experienced, and if you set your arm anywhere for 30 seconds, it either left a puddle, or a wet mark.  He was wet the whole time, lasted one week, and came home.

    I respect those monks.
