  • SSPXBVM and posted a link to the Consecration to Mary.  This Consecration to Mary is vitally important for all of us.  Why?  Let me illustrate with a recent quote from Bishop William's most recent Eleison Comments where he is speaking about the good Archbishop where he says, "...and while he lived he raised us all up. But they never truly absorbed his doctrine, and so once he was dead they began within a few years to fall back.".  Our Lady's Fatima message from June 13, 1917 includes the following, "Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. To whosoever embraces this devotion I promise salvation." Let us pray this devotion may provide for us a means to reverse this slide of which Bishop Williamson speaks.

May Our Lord have mercy upon us, May the Holy Spirit strengthen us and May Our Lady shield, teach and protect us in this effort.

  • First let me say, Don't Take This Wrong.  I am not preaching, although it may sound like that.  I am probably like most everyone else here, I like to see what is happening, both good and bad.  The crisis in the faith, the crisis in the church, the crisis in the SSPX.  These all create headlines in the news.  But these headlines will not get me to heaven.  Someone once said to me, "you need to know your enemy."  That is true, and the Headlines will allow me to better know my enemy.  Remember, Satan is our number one enemy and the Consecration to Mary is a great tool to combat the enemy.

I once knew a priest who was reluctant to preach on the "Crisis in the Church."  I am sure he felt we could get all of the crisis news we needed from other sources and he was there to balance prayer and crisis.  Given enough crisis news, we will grow weary.  I bet none of us will grow weary of too much prayer.  And prayer is what will solve the crisis, not the other way around.

I have done the Consecration to Mary before and I am doing it again.   So, as I said at the beginning, I am not preaching.  Remember, Satan will do anything and everything to keep us from praying.  That means he will use a crisis to keep us from praying.  If I have angered you, stop for a moment and ask the BVM to direct you away from anger.

    Let us pray.

    Jake

  • I think many of us will agree that we are living through the events prophesied in the Third Secret of Fatima.  Sr. Lucy spent three excruciating months, under obedience, attempting to write it down and only succeeded when Our Lady appeared to her.  Our Lady told us, "only I can help you".

For those of us who have done the Consecration to Mary, let us renew it; for those who have not, please consider this beautiful act of love and veneration.  There is no greater aid to help us through these terrible and uncertain times.

    Thank you again, sspxbvm
