In this conference, Bishop Faure emphasizes the importance of instilling humility into the spirit of our seminarians, for two reasons.  First, because the earmark of Modernism is pride, and therefore to do battle well against it, new priests must be humble at their core.  Second, these priests must be effective in teaching humility to the Faithful, and there is no better way to do this than by being humble themselves.
