  • I was cooking real bacon and turkey bacon in the same frying pan, and it hit me:

What a perfect metaphor for the SSPX ralliement!

By letting the juices run together, each took on more an appearance of the other.

The fake bacon looked and smelled like traditional bacon, but in essence, it was still counterfeit bacon; a substance only having a resemblance to bacon.

    What of the traditional bacon?

The frying pan was cooking all the pork/tradition out of it, and it was immersed in turkey grease:

It still had the look and smell of real bacon, but it's taste was now...off.

Had there been 10 pieces of turkey bacon in the pan, and only 1 piece of traditional bacon, the transformation would have been even more apparent and fitting.

The thoughts that run through my mind at breakfast time.
Rom 5: 20 - "But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more."

  • That is what happens when you practice culinary ecuмenism. :D

What is left in the pan probably thinks it is venison, and cannot be thrown out because of the Federal Gastronomical Perversity Act now sitting in the Idigress before it gets vetoed in the CorningWare House. ;)
