  • Communiqué of the General House of the Society of Saint Pius X

    Quote
Bishop Richard Williamson, having distanced himself from the management and the government of the SSPX for several years, and refusing to show due respect and obedience to his lawful superiors, was declared excluded from the SSPX by decision of the Superior General and its Council, on October 4th, 2012. A final deadline had been granted to him to declare his submission, after which he announced the publication of an “open letter” asking the Superior General to resign.

This painful decision has become necessary by concern for the common good of the Society of Saint Pius X and its good government, according to what Archbishop Lefebvre denounced: “This is the destruction of authority. How authority can be exercised if it needs to ask all members to participate in the exercise of authority? “(Ecône, June 29, 1987)

    Menzingen, October 24th, 2012

Before he came up to them, they caught sight of him in the distance, and began plotting against his life. They said to one another, Here comes the dreamer; how if we kill him, and throw his body into a dry well? We can pretend he has fallen a prey to some wild beast. Now we shall see what good these dreams of his can do him!

He had himself dismissed from Winona and sent to Argentina?  He had his permission to stay in Argentina revoked?  He ordered himself to live in an attic?  He threatened himself with expulsion for publishing weekly comments.  For giving confirmations?  He excluded himself from the General Chapter?

It's so typical of these people to lie.  It really calls to mind what Our Lord said about the pharisees, how they were the children of the Father of Lies.

We can understand Bishop Fellay from the company he keeps.  It is truly nauseating.

  • The clerics in Menzingen and in some other headquarters are out of their little minds. Also they're indeed lying a lot. It's amazing...

But it won't be the damage of Bishop Williamson. May God bless him.

  • Two bishops obey and one bishop disobeys. Fortuitously or by divine intervention, a single bishop bears the true apostolate of ABL while others fall away. Such is the human condition and the nature of things. He can now exercise total freedom to inspire others into learning about the faith fettered as it is by devious clerics and their dreadful management, as well as knowing the real world which creates such distortions.

I lean with Bp Williamson -- yet, given a little time, we'll see which way each leans themselves by the continued actions they take. Then we'll know for certain.

  • This piece from Fr Roberts is worth reading. It should be remembered the Society is a pious union. It's in another matter of discussion if Benedict XVI is indeed Pope. Getting Benedict XVI to recant of his heresy is another matter.Rome need to be converted.

This was a sad but not unexpected event. There is absolutely no doubt that the SSPX has changed its entire way of thinking in regard to the dogmatic principle that the Church's unity rests on the confession of the One Faith, and not on some kind of unity based on praxis but not on the supernatural virtue of Faith. I remember what both Winona and Econe taught me and this is totally a new thing. It is of no importance whether there is a deal soon or not, for the spirit is what has changed.

I was under the supervision of Bishop Williamson for five of my six years of seminary and what he is saying now is the same as what he said then. Nothing is new, and yet what was said is no longer acceptable. I have been scandalized beyond words at the new spirit of the Society, and at the claim that Bishop Williamson is somehow saying something different than what he always said. It is not true, and everyone who was in the Society when I was knows that it is not true.

Likewise, I am scandalized at the total refusal to obey the laws of the Church, old or new, and the making of Bishop Fellay into a kind of cult leader. Sacraments are denied, children are told that their parents have committed a mortal sin if they disagree with Bishop Fellay or his minions. This is completely forbidden by the traditional law of the Church. There is a talk of the "grace of state" of Bishop Fellay as if he had the grace of state of the Pope. He is the head, at most, of a "Pious Union" as it is called in the traditional law of the Church. That is as far down as you can get in the canonical status of an organization. It is far inferior to a religious order or congregation. Thus to speak of this grace of state is the same as to speak of the grace of state of the Archconfraternity of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It is totally un-Catholic. It is a transferring of loyalty to the Vicar of Christ to the head of a small canonical entity.

The Vicar of Christ says that Bishop Fellay does not have any grace of state at all. But the neo-trads here act as if the Pope can be swept aside in order to worship the head of a pious union. Incredible. I would be edified if these cultists had the same veneration for the Pope of Rome, which they do not. Let them listen to the "Sweet Christ on earth" and keep their mouths closed in other matters. Or, let them admit that the office is no guarantee that the holder is right except in those cases defined by the Church's own Magisterium.

Bishop Fellay has disobeyed the law of the Church time after time in order to make his will the sacrosanct sign of the Divine Will, all the while ignoring the only ones that the Catechism teach have the grace of state to rule. The Archbishop's greatness did not lay in a claim of graces of state, but in fidelity to the constant Magisterium of the Church. There is indeed a true spirit of schism in the Society, as Bishop Fellay has warned us, but this spirit of schism resides in Menzingen. Let them shut up and humbly submit to the Pope, if they think that is the answer, not claim to be the true Magisterium of the Church in opposition to the Vicar of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Isn't it very "convenient", a man, who has met the Menzingen lawyer and defended him is posting again on Ignis Ardens. Quite often these people appear to gloss over or get the conversation away from what is important.Though HMIS is being critical of the Menzingen lawyer here.

Possibly, but I fear that the German factions and certain advisors, like the extremely intelligent family father and CDU lawyer Dr. "He who shall remain nameless" PhD, MBA from Dresden (Saxony, Germany), will continue to push for "legal recognition", regularization and "more purges" against (imaginary) "antisemites". These factions and advisors might even convince the SSPX to introduce the German-Israeli ecclesiastical compromised "New Good Friday Prayer for the Jews" introduced in 2008 and imposed by Benedict XVI upon the Indult and Summorum pontificum crews (FSSP, ICRSP etc. etc.).

While I understand the fears of certain (very state-believing, state-obedient, almost Confucianistic-minded) Germans for state persecutions against their livelihood, families ("He who shall remain nameless"'s children also attend the SSPX Dresden chapel) etc. etc. due to Williamson's comments and other frictions between the SSPX and Western inimical massa media, they do not understand that the Gospel, the Holy Church and the Roman Catholic religion themselves (conserved by "traditionalists") are considered offensive, "antisemitic" and "to be rooted up" by Socialists, Liberals, Judaism and (to a lesser extent) Islam and other Christians (Protestants etc.). They have no battle mentality, but seek a compromise.

Of course I agree that Bp. Williamson's personal views on the Jewish genocide and statistics and methods of the latter should be considered less important than the legalization and protection of SSPX schools and boarding schools and seminaries from certain state authorities.

However, these purges are counterproductive. The enemies will demand more purging until all "controversial" priests are gone. They will take away Archbishop Lefebvre's portrait too. Because, and this "He who shall remain nameless" cannot tolerate, Lefebvre was considered "close to Front National and Vichy adherents" (nonsense considering René Lefebvre sr's heroic 1944 Catholic death in a Nazi prison camp of Sonnenburg in the New March of Brandenburg). Lefebvre was even condemned for "incitement to racial hatred" in France, because of his statement about Islamization of certain city quarters and the dangers of jihadism. Of course the latter comments are problematic more to Socialists and left-leaning persons (also present in some chapels in some countries of Europe) than to the die-hard right-wing Zionists and Axel Springer anti-Islamic media chains to which influential Menzingen German advisor Dr.jur. "He who shall remain nameless" feels connected socially.

I also considered those comments of Abp. Lefebvre imprudent (although true to a certain extent), similar to Bp. Williamson's. The mentality of today's Menzingen would have expelled or marginalized the Archbishop himself, I fear.

These factions now celebrate their victory by this Williamson expulsion, even openly on some websites. Whereas we mourn because of the division (again, I am no venerator of Bp. Williamson's public Holocaust revisionism and other actions I consider imprudent and even inappropriate for a bishop, be it auxiliary), they celebrate. They will never let him back in, I fear.

These words are not a defense of lawyer K, on the contrary, it explains the very serious problem Catholicism has in Germany.
