  • Are there any plans for a procession for the feast of Christ the King? It would be nice if a resistance priest was available. I am happy to assist in helping in organising it though I don't drive. I appreciate the priests of the resistance are kept busy but even if we had a small procession in a town that would suit all.

  • I appreciate it is not easy to find a location that will suit all. Even the 'Voice in the wilderness' conference was out of town a bit. Ok for those with a car but not suitable for those, who use public transport. I had to get a taxi from the train station.

  • Regarding Medjugorje/Megaforgery, I was told not to worry about it.

  • I wasn't aware the neo SSPX base in Athlone is organising a procession.

I shall announce tomorrow if the procession is taking place in Athlone or Limerick. This is a procession independent of the SSPX.

The resistance must organise its own events.

  • I had hoped to organise busses  but the level of interest was not there.

  • The city of Galway was ruled out as there is a county hurling final and a parade that will attract over 40,000 people. Also the Institute of Christ the King are probably organising something.

  • To address a point raised in PM (Private Message) from an neo SSPX attendee

The procession I would like to organise will be separate from the neo SSPX procession. It's a pilgrimage for the resistance and not the sell out neo SSPX.

For clarification it is the 'Church of Bishop Fellay' who is organising the procession in Athlone.  I wouldn't attend their events. To participate in it is to show loyalty to Bishop Fellay.

I can only speak for myself but wouldn't attend their events.

  • My apologies for the late reply. There seemed to be a technical issue with logging on to Cath Info and our family had a guest.

I'm sorry to say the procession plans have been cancelled.

I shall certainly pray for those who attend the neo SSPX procession in Athlone. In principle, I won't attend it. I'm sorry it has come to this as I have a fond memory of participating in a Corpus Christi procession with the Athlone folk a few years ago.

I hope to organise something at the grave of Fr Denis Fahey in the New year.

Prayers for the SSPX folk tomorrow.
