I always appreciate Fr. Rousseau's sermons, but I must interject that Our Lady's guardian angel was Gabriel, St. Joseph's guardian angel was Michael the Prince, and Our Lord chose Raphael as his guardian angel. Of course, Christ did not need a guardian angel, but because he assumed His Sacred Human Nature, in His humility He took a guardian angel. It stands to reason that St. Joseph, being the head of the Holy Family, had as his guardian angel the head of the heavenly host, St. Michael.

In the two books published by the St. Benedict Center in 1961 they assert that, with the exception of Our Lady, all the saints and angels combined do not equal the majesty and sanctity of St. Joseph. He is the greatest man created by God.  The two books are "Saints to Remember" and "The Holy Family," both excellent books.
