In school we were taught about stewardship, and how the world is effectively on loan to us from God. We are the masters of all its beasts and wildlife, but we are to be just and kind masters, and not trample all over it and destroy the beauty of God's world. While he has given us use over it, it does not mean we own it. Now, I don't believe in Climate Change - dozens of false predictions have shown that the "climate crisis" is a scam. But that doesn't mean, in my opinion at least, that we shouldn't care for the environment and that conservation isn't a noble pursuit. Just because Climate Change is a politicised scam, doesn't mean we shouldn't still look to preserve God's creations from extinction, and to preserve the beauty of His world.
