Interestingly, the preamble states that this is not the official SSPX position/declaration, which will be forthcoming, but merely an article "prepared by the FSSPX.news team:"

"What follows is an article giving initial thoughts prepared by the FSSPX.News team.  An official statement will be released from the General House of the Society of Saint Pius X in due course."

Hmm.

I guess we'll have to retract our optimistic approval until this official statement is released.

When Rome -- or the SSPX -- has had a true conversion (back to "God First") you'll know it, because their love of the truth, virtue, and contrition for their sins/errors will bear fruits of humility, such that they will WANT to embrace those who were their greatest friends -- Traditional Catholics, the Resistance. They will freely offer apologies and embrace them, welcoming them back.

Until then, it's all a game of deception. Don't fall for it.
