  • I got through a half hour and couldn't take anymore.

No disrespect meant but this is not really a good sermon.

Granted I didn't make it to the end but I just couldn't stand anymore.

It sounded a lot like he was doing "damage control" to calm the masses/sheep.

  • I felt the same way as you. The first half hour or so sounds exactly like 'damage control', but that is on purpose. Father G. is smart. Sit through it patiently--Father is on the side of Truth and Tradition.

The last ten minutes will show you why you should listen to the entire sermon.

As I said, make sure you listen to the entire sermon.

    God bless.

    You are right.

    My apologies.

    It does end up excellent.

  • 4 thumbs down for posting a sermon that trashes Bishop Fellay, Matthew I thought you got rid of all the cooks? All 4 of them should be banned.

Sorry, one of them was me (sheepish look here).

I thought he was doing just the opposite from the way he was talking in the beginning.

If I could thumb up it now I would so make that 3 thumbs down.

Sorry, I jumped the gun because I did not listen to the whole thing.

Yes, beautifully executed and conceived.  Same message as the others but a different approach.

  • Based on prior comments I skipped the first half and listened to about the last 30 minutes.

Excellent, excellent sermon! God Bless FR. GIROUARD.

He could not make it more clear, we do not object to some theoretical agreement we have not seen, but to the very words of Bishop Fellay that we have heard, when he says we have not really understood religious liberty as taught by Vatican II. Fr Girouard says Bishop Fellay is wrong; he contradicts Archbishop Lefebvre’s teaching, the position of the Society and Bishop Fellay’s own past teaching. It is the contradiction we object to.

Please accordistas…listen to the whole sermon and heed Fr’s sage advice.

  • ...and let the real soldiers stand up for Christ, His Church and the invalueble work of the great Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre !!!

The modernists within the society are starting to feel the heat and are offering 15% discount to continue to be successful in their brainwashing propaganda.

This is much better compared to the Fr. Chazal and Fr. J Pfeiffer videos. Fr. Girouard worded it in a respectful way. Age does make a difference it seems  :laugh1:

  • In the sermon Father mentioned that this book, Catechism of the Crisis in the Church, is recommended by Bishop Fellay!

    Quote
"I absolutely wish that this book [The Catechism of the Crisis in the Church] is made available for the English speaking countries."

-- His Excellency Bishop Bernard Fellay, Superior General of The Society of St. Pius X

This quote is still on Angelus' website
    http://angeluspress.org/Catechism-of-the-Crisis

So what Bishop Fellay said in the CNS interview actually contradict the teaching held by the Society!

    Father Girouard is very smart!

  • Based on the previous comments, I only tuned in at 43:30 of the sermon.

    Fantastic.

All forum members should email this sermon to all the SSPX priests they have addresses for.

PS: I suppose we better add Fr. Girouard to the list of endangered species on the www.savesspx.com website?

  • Fr Girouard gives a very smart and clarifying sermon, which will have helped many waverers to understand better the real reasons for avoiding any infectious relationship with modernist Rome. We can see how this infection has affected Mons. Fellay already! Keep the faith. Keep up the good fight!  :boxer: Viva Cristo Rey!!!
