Why was Fr. Chazal forbidden to preach in Japan, Korea and Manilla?
Note that this post is from 2012.
He was preaching against the new direction of his superiors and obviously they were not going to tolerate that.
It was the same throughout the SSPX: any priest who opened his mouth to defend the
status quo was immediately silenced/punished/demoted/transferred. Probably Fr Rostand had a few such victims?
One notorious example in Canada was Fr Damien Fox who was silenced and transferred by Fr Wegner for this:

Then you had the religious orders in Europe - the Dominicans and Franciscans - who were refused ordination of their candidates.
Dom Tomas Aquinas in Brazil was pressured to resign as abbot of the Benedictines and deprived of all support when he would not.
The seven Deans in France were deposed for speaking out against the SSPX/Newrome marriage agreement.
Tyrannical rule with zero tolerance was required to enforce such a popular agreement with the modernists in Rome which would be so beneficial for Tradition!
And so it continues to this day in the neo-SSPX: the modernists have done a good job in reducing it to a caricature of Tradition.
Just talk about spirituality, not the fight for the faith, and all will be well.
Once upon a time the SSPX would have been singing
Te Deums throughout the world for Archbishop Vigano. Now, nothing but silence...
