Since you mentioned that you lived in Brazil, reason with me: 5 dollars from an American donor becomes 25 reais. 5 dollars is not much for an American, while 25 reais is not that little for most Brazilians. So, if a few Americans give you some dollars, it will be a lot in Brazil once you convert the money, and you will need less donors to raise the same money. The same idea can be applied to Western European money. Euro or pounds are worth a lot here.

This is my best guess as to why they are always asking for money from Americans and European Traditionalists.

Your reasoning is accurate. Depending on their exchange rate. Someone referred to an old post of their school where they were asking for donations. My disbelief was expressed in exactly that having to deal with the exchange rate. Because I’ve seen their school. Notice there is a lack of pictures because this is not the idea American Traditionalist would think of for a school and a said electric bill. Maybe two classrooms down the path from the monastery. This isn’t your typical Trad Catholic school.
But it doesn’t even matter. I was just noticing and asking the logical question. I saw all the other posts requesting for money and never commented at all, until they put a number on it and expressed more urgency here. Accused of “undermining their efforts”. All I did was question their efforts based on the data provided.

You are only undermining their efforts if their answer was not satisfatory. I see no basis for the accusation.

Questioning is good, since it gives an opportunity for people to make their point more clearly and objectively.

I’ll be a great friend to The Holy Cross Monastery, when they start to put priority of the getting sacraments to Brazil via the priesthood. For now, their focus seems to be assuming authority over the Faithful through singularity.
What a disgraceful slander.
We all have to render an account.
