Is Fr Brocard the former Dominican Frenchman who was looking after the apostolate at St Mary's, Kansas?
If so, who will now take his place there?
I guess he must speak Spanish or Portuguese as well?
Yes, Fr. Brocard was a Dominican and switched to SJAJM and was the pastor of the SAJM chapel in Emmet, KS. He has been gone over a year, but Fr. Blanchet, SAJM, has taken his place.

I doubt anyone is being “forced.”

Membership of the SAJM will be required to complete training

And why is that?

The times we live in, it is better that priests be independent and not in any kind of group.

Are you saying that you know this to be true for someone who was already in this seminary which is now adding a new dimension?

...or just pointing out that you're not a fan of the fact that all seminaries are for the purpose of training their own priests?
