Within this new scandal of the SSPX “branding”, I think that it is important to know when this (pagan) PR firm from Holland was hired to do the branding of a new image for the SSPX, and its relative timelines associated with other happenings throughout that time to put this all together.
To begin:• Fr. Patrick Girouard said in his June 2, 2013 sermon, that the “Branding” for the SSPX
started when Fr. Jurgen WEGNER was the District Superior of Holland.
“…So here, I don't know... You know, normally, you brand a cow! But he(Fr. Jurgen WEGNER, district superior of Canada) tells me now that the Society has been branded! So I was able to keep walking, I did not drop dead but... And then he told me: “Yes Father, that is true, and I did it!” Oh! You did it. How did you do it? “Well, when I was in Holland, District Superior, I met with somebody, I became friend with the President of a company...” (and then he named me the name of the company, it is a Flemish name which uh... is too strange to remember) but he said: “This is the fifth most successful company in Holland, so it is a very important company, a very successful company, and a couple of years ago I visited them and I met again with this man, and I asked him to take care of the Society and to do the branding of the Society, because that company is specialized in branding.”
And so Father Wegner asked that man of that company to do the branding of the Society, and so that man said: “I will look into the Society on the website; I will let you know.” A couple of weeks later he phones Father Wegner, and he says: “Father, I refuse; I refuse the contract, because I looked over your name SSPX, and you don't have a good name out there, and I don't want my company to have the blemish of having you as a customer.” So Father Wegner says: “Well, at least give us a chance! Let's hear our own side, what we have to say. I will organize a meeting for you and Bishop Fellay in Menzingen, in Switzerland, and at least give us the chance to answer all of your questions, and after that you will decide!” So the man said : “Fair enough.” So they organize the meeting in Menzingen, and Father Wegner told me that the man went there and asked one hundred and fifty questions to Bishop Fellay, and Bishop Fellay answered all of these questions, and it lasted six hours! For six hours! And, at the end, that man said: “Okay, I will take the contract of the Society, and I will do your branding.”
• Fr. Jurgen Wegner was the District Superior of Belgium and Holland for 9-years (1999-2008).
• Then, he became the District Superior of Canada in 2008 taking the place of Fr. Arnaud Rostand.
Therefore, this “branding” happened sometime within that time line 1999-2008.
With the help of others, let’s figure this out by putting events together and see where it leads us.
I will start.
DURING 1999-2008:• (1994 – GREC was established.)
• 2000 – SSPX Rome pilgrimage.
• 2006 – SSPX General Chapter with an excellent outcome –Doctrine first. Rome needs to convert.
• 2007 - The Motu Proprio happened in setting the Traditional Mass as second place - “Extraordinary”.
AFTER 2008:• 2008 - Fr. Jurgen WEGNER becomes the District Superior of Canada. (What did he implement there to foster this “branding”?)
• 2008 - Fr. Rostand becomes the District Superior of the U.S. (What did he implement there to foster this “branding”?)
• 2009 - Bishop Fellay removes Bishop Williamson from the active apostolate; sending him into an attic in London, England.
• 2009 - The “lifting” of the excommunications happened without mentioning Archbishop Lefebvre or Bishop de Castro Mayer.
• 2011 – SSPX has exchanges with conciliar Rome for a “practical agreement”.
• 2012 – SSPX has secret workings with conciliar Rome.
• 2012 – Exchange letters of the 3-sspx Bishops, Bishop Fellay’s (scandalous) return letter to them.
• 2012 – Bishop Fellay’s (scandalous) Doctrinal Declaration.
• 2012 – SSPX General Chapter with the (scandalous) 6-conditions.
• 2012 – Major exposure of SSPX scandals.
• 2012 – Expulsions of many priests and Bishop Williamson who do not agree with the new “doctrines” of the new SSPX.
• 2012 - Fr. Rostand announces in his “Christmas appeal” that they have started updating with a new image.
• 2013 – sspx.org changes their website to a new “image” for the world.
