  • Folks, you can't make this stuff up...

But Bp. Fellay just hopes you don't figure it out.

After watching the video link, you'll realize we're in much deeper trouble than any SSPX cleric will ever let on.

    JosephMendez post:

Bishop Schneider's diocese is headquartered in Astana, Kazakastan which has been built as a model for the "One World Religion" and ecuмenical site. You don't hear much about this in relationship to Bishop Schneider- just that he is a "conservative, orthodox" NO Bishop...but he lives in a very strange place.

Christmas in Astana, at Mass with Orthodox and Muslims

In the capital of Kazakhstan a multi-religious vigil also attracts followers of other religions, "intrigued" by the Catholic tradition. The vicar of the Archdiocese of Mary Most Holy speaks of the strength of the "little flock" and the attractiveness of the Christian message.

Astana (AsiaNews) - The thermometer shows -35 °. The snow on the ground is only the continuation of the white and seamless sky, enveloping the Kazakh steppe in the winter. Against this background, the Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption, with its red brick, stands out even more. A little farther on, the largest mosque in Central Asia, a Russian Orthodox church, the Protestant, Buddhist, but also the Pyramid of Peace, by star architect Norman Foster, symbolizes the union of all religions. Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, fully embodies the ideal of pax religiosa wanted by President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the base of his policy, to guarantee social stability in a country, home to more than 120 nationalities and 40 different denominational groups. Catholics are only 2% out of 16 million people, a mostly Muslim majority. "A little flock, of which it is difficult even to map the exact number of the faithful, but that Christmas makes stronger and more united," as AsiaNews is told by Father Roland Jaquenoud, vicar general of the Archdiocese of Mary Most Holy in Astana. The diocese is "young", elevated to an apostolic administration in 2003 by Pope John Paul II, whose visit is commemorated by a statue, placed in the garden of the cathedral.

Swiss-born, Fr. Roland has been in Astana for three years. "In addition to the cathedral - says the priest - there's another Catholic Church, Mary the Mother of all nations". It is located in a poor neighborhood and was the first church in the city, which was granted in 1979 by the Soviet regime to the local community, when the Astana with skyscrapers and shopping malls of today were not even in the plans of Nazarbayev. In fact it was Nazarbayev who, at the end of 90s, wanting to move the capital from Almaty, transforming the old Akmola ("white cemetery" in Kazakh) into what is now the administrative center of the new independent nation of Kazakhstan. But the fact that there was a church at the time of the USSR did not automatically mean that there were also priests. "And so, after decades of faith lived in silence and in secret, the Catholics of Astana are now used to a modest and simple Christmas" says Fr. Roland.

For the Vigil, the Cathedral of the Assumption (curia and parish at the same time) was full of people, even if the next day, December 25, was a normal working day here. But the church is not full all year round. "Catholics actually practicing in the city, are about 500, but Easter and Christmas celebrations also attract many Orthodox and Muslims, interested to see how it is celebrated." "Many here believe that Catholicism is a cult - the clergyman adds - All people know about the Pope John Paul II in particular. For most of the population Christmas is the Orthodox one that falls on Jan. 7, according to the Julian calendar."

Driven, however, by a real research and not just from sheer curiosity, there are many who come to the cathedral to pray or simply to confide in someone. Father Roland tells of "a Kazakh couple who every Sunday at 8 come to light a candle, read the Bible and then leave in silence".  Others, however, have begun a real journey of faith. "Conversion from Islam is permitted and there are several, but they are mostly non-practicing Muslims, - he underlines - There are always difficulties related to the family, which, however, often accepts and supports the choice." A "moving" case was recently, one of three women: a mother, her daughter and her grandmother, whose husband was an imam, who was imprisoned during the Soviet period because of his faith. "When the young woman confessed she was no longer at ease with Islam, her mother and grandmother did not condemn her, but they only told her not to leave God and to find the right faith for her - recalls Fr. Roland - It actually was her grandmother who gave her the first Gospel and after a long journey, she decided to be baptized".

The initial great tolerance of the Kazakh authorities has, however, been gradually decreasing. For fear of the proliferation of Islamic fundamentalist sects - as the government officially explains - a law widely criticized by human rights defenders was launched last year restricting the entry of foreign preachers in the country, imposing strict rules for the registration of religious communities. "I do not think it will solve the problem of extremism," said the vicar, who then admits that things are "a little 'complicated" for the Catholic Church, with long waits for visas and complex paperwork. "But these things are common to all foreigners and there is nothing against the Catholic Church in particular," he adds. Indeed. The Sisters of Mother Teresa, for example, are obviously loved by all. "In all, Astana, there are four of them and they work with the poor and homeless," says the priest, for whom the missionaries are doing "fundamental" work. "If I have a problem in the social sphere, I know that I can call them, because they know the needs of the community very well." And one of the biggest problems after alcoholism, is that of abortion and the family in general. "We started with meetings with women who wanted to abandon their children after birth because maybe they were born from extramarital affairs, and we recently started a sort of clinic, where there's a lot of women, especially Muslims."

It is located in a poor neighborhood and was the first church in the city, which was granted in 1979 by the Soviet regime to the local community, when the Astana with skyscrapers and shopping malls of today were not even in the plans of Nazarbayev.

Is Father Roland's comment about the Mother of all nations Church, the "tip-off" on the origins of the the One World Religion plot?.

In hindsight, we can see that this "One World Religion" construct was planned-out by тαℓмυdic (zionist) rabbis after WWII.   It was all part of their bigger plan to infiltrate the Church and take it over by their masonic proxies.

Ida Peerdeman, the Amsterdam prophetess, who appears to be a Jєωess "convert" had some apparitions from 1945 to 1959 and beyond.

She had concocted the "One World" rabbinic theme, that Mother Mary would no longer be called "Mary", but the "Lady" of all Nations.

    But it wasn't approved:

Lady of all nations approved link ?

From 1945-1959, Mrs. Ida Peerdeman of the Diocese of van Haarlem (Amsterdam) claimed to receive private revelations.  The claims became known popularly as “Our Lady of All Nations” or simply “Amsterdam.”

The case was examined by the local Ordinary of van Haarlem, Bishop Johannes Huibers, who decided the claims were not supernatural in origin.  His decision was affirmed in May, 1974 by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) in a Notification.[ii]  The Notification ordered the immediate ceasing of all publications on the claims.  Efforts to rehabilitate the claims began sometime after the Notification was issued.

On May 31, 1996, the above efforts led the new Bishop of van Haarlem, Henricus Bomers, to approve the devotion to Our Lady under the title of “Our Lady of All Nations.”  He fell shy, however, of approving the alleged messages attributed to the “apparitions” to Ida Peerdeman.  The docuмent approving the devotion but not the alleged messages was undersigned by Bishop Jozef Marianus Punt—then auxiliary of van Haarlem.

On July 21, 2001, Bishop Punt succeeded Bomers after the latter’s death in 1998.[iii]  Less than a year later on May 31, 2002, Bishop Punt declared the “apparitions” to Ida Peerdeman to be supernatural in origin.  A subsequent development, however, questions Bishop Punt’s authority in this matter.

In September, 2008, Msgr. Charles Scicluna, Promoter of Justice for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was present at the 22nd Mariological Congress in Lourdes, France.  He delivered an essay on the Church’s 1978 Norms of discerning presumed apparitions and revelations (“Normae S. Congregationis” or simply “NC”).  In 2010, the essay was published in the scholarly journal of the Pontificia Academia Mariana Internationalis for the general public.[iv]

In his essay, Scicluna states once a decision of the CDF is rendered on an alleged private revelation, the decision is of “undisputed hierarchical authority,” meaning a lower authority cannot overturn it.  Interestingly, within this section Scicluna provides a footnote citing the “Our Lady of All Nations” case.  He says:

Another case, that still continues to be problematic, would be Amsterdam for the alleged apparitions and revelations of the “Lady of All Nations.”  The Servant of God, Paul VI, on 5 April, 1974 approved the decision of the Congregation to publish the negative judgment “Constat de non supernaturalitate” taken 27 March, 1974.  The Notification of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith bears the date of 25 May, 1974 and has been newly proposed in “Docuмents of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith” published in 2006 (Docuмents 22, p. 90).

Scicluna’s point raises some questions: First, if the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a negative judgment on the Amsterdam claims, did the local Ordinary, Marianus Punt, have the requisite authority to declare the claims to be supernatural in origin in May, 2002?  Given the hierarchical nature of the Congregation’s Notification, one would have expected Punt to say something of this matter in his May 31, 2002 letter but strangely he did not and there is nothing elsewhere in any of the literature about it.

Was the case of Our Lady of All Nations approved?  It appears as though there are some explanations in order.

  • Is this why Bp. Schneider is pushing so hard for the SSPX to do the deal with Rome?

    http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2017/01/bishop-schneider-i-have-asked-msgr.html#more

    Quote
Our partners at Adelante La Fe (Rorate in Spanish) today published an exclusive interview with His Excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider. The answers he gives are very blunt and bold -- even for the great bishop. It's pretty clear even by just skimming his answers that he believes the time has come for the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX).

    HEADLINES

“There are many places where priests act more like Protestant ministers than Catholic priests”

“There are families that must travel more than 100 km (60 mi) so that they can go to a dignified Mass and hear sound doctrine”

“The faithful must ask the priests for kneelers so that they can kneel”

“We have a eucharistic-heart disease, and as long as we fail to heal it, the whole body will remain ill and will not produce fruit”

“In today’s climate, it’s a true miracle that we have vocations”

“Gender ideology is a depravity, a final form of Marxism”

“If they can, parents should withdraw their children from schools where they are taught gender ideology”

“There is a mentality of radical relativism within the Church”

“We should speak up so that the Magisterium might speak clearly”

“With moral relativism, especially concerning the reception of Communion by the divorced and remarried, we want God to do our will, and not for us to do His”

“A sacramental female diaconate contradicts the nature of the Church”

“We have to love the pope supernaturally, praying for him, not practicing a form of papolatry”

    SSPX – Msgr. Lefebvre

“I am convinced that in the present circuмstances, Msgr. Lefebvre would accept the canonical proposal of a personal prelature without hesitation”

“Msgr. Lefebvre is a man with a deep sensus ecclesiae”

“The episcopal ordinations were done in 1988 because in good conscience he thought that he had to do it, as an extreme act, and at the same time said that this situation should not last a long time”

“If you remain canonically autonomous for too long, you run the risk of losing a characteristic of the Catholic Church, that is, to be subject to the pope”

“We cannot make our subjection to the Vicar of Christ dependent upon the person of the pope; this would not be faith. You cannot say that “I don’t believe in this pope, I don’t submit, I am going to wait until one comes along that I like.” This is not Catholic, it is not supernatural; it is human. It is a lack of supernaturality and trust in Divine Providence, that God is the one who guides the Church. This is a danger for the SSPX”

“I have asked Msgr. Fellay not to delay his acceptance any longer, and I trust in Providence, though it is not possible to have 100% certainty”

“It is my great wish that the SSPX might be recognized and established within the regular structure of the Church as soon as possible, and this will be for the benefit of all, for them and for us. Actually it will be a new force in this great battle for the purity of the Faith”

“I have told Msgr. Fellay: “Monsignor, we need your presence to join together with all of the good forces in the Church to achieve this union.”

    TRADITIONAL MASS

“The movement to restore the traditional Mass is the work of the Holy Spirit, and is unstoppable”

“If the Fathers of Vatican II witnessed a Mass like the one we know today and a traditional Mass, the majority would say that the traditional Mass is what they want, and not the other”

The traditional liturgy is the liturgy of Vatican II, perhaps with small changes.

    That last statement alarms me.

  • It certainly isn't true. Maybe the Fathers of V2 wanted priests to be remain Latinate, but Concilium's dog's dinner was approved after grumbling. Recall too the wrecking of the Missal of St Pius V between 1964 and 1967 when the Last Gospel and Leonine prayers vanished, and the Canon was said aloud. All that was due to decisions coming from Concilium. There was no mass of objections, some objections, but not too many.

  • "Bishop" Schneider is part of the false right of the conciliar church. He may not even be a prieist, let alone a bishop. Anyone that knows anything knows this. If Bp. Fellay joins Francis's church, he knows exactly what he is getting into, for he is more than an anybody. If he joins the conciliar church it is for his own benefit and he has sold tradition out.

With Francis at the helm, It could not be more obvious  that the conciliar church is not Catholic. God has made it obvious to those with eyes to see. Anyone that joins Francis, does so because they have betrayed truth.

  • The One Peter Five blog also pushes for the SSPX to reconcile, and usually posts Bishop Schneider's latest bid to try to get the SSPX to reconcile. What's distressing is that Bishop Schneider has stated that he believes that Archbishop Lefebvre would have reconciled at this time. Which is ridiculous. Either Bp. Schneider doesn't know anything about what the Archbishop believed, or he does indeed know, and he's being untruthful. It's reckless to say that Archbishop Lefebvre would reconcile at this time. I think that One Peter Five is being used to push for the SSPX to reconcile - to get a certain segment of trads (who read that blog) to get on board with the idea.

  • I always thought being the 'auxiliary bishop' of Astana Kazakhstan a curiously obscure new church post to be jet setting around the world to traditional junkets and speaking engagements. I suppose we shall see if he succeeds in his seemingly appointed task to herd the SSPX into the novus ordo if he gets the upgrade to cardinal to be the token conservative in the college.  Burke is getting a bit long in the tooth.

It's just my opinion that at least part of the agenda of that blog is to try to get trads to get on board with an SSPX reconciliation.

Here's a piece from the excellent Non Possumus blog, which comments on One Peter Five's recent interview with Bishop Schneider. As usual, the little American flag icon on the top of the page will have to be clicked in order to translate the page into English:

  • Another One Peter Five article from Dec. 12, 2016, in which Bishop Schneider is pushing for an SSPX reconciliation:

I don't spend much time anymore posting on Resistance forums. I mostly post on blogs like One Peter Five, in defense of the Resistance - against an SSPX reconcilation.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

The One Peter Five blog also pushes for the SSPX to reconcile, and usually posts Bishop Schneider's latest bid to try to get the SSPX to reconcile.

Good observation about the Trad website, "One Peter Five" Meg.

I was unaware of their editorial agenda?

It's just my opinion that at least part of the agenda of that blog is to try to get trads to get on board with an SSPX reconciliation.

Here's a piece from the excellent Non Possumus blog, which comments on One Peter Five's recent interview with Bishop Schneider. As usual, the little American flag icon on the top of the page will have to be clicked in order to translate the page into English:

Thanks for the links Meg and the tip on the American flag "thingy".
(It would have taken me five minutes to figure it out otherwise)

Since Steve Skojec, a Steubenville, Franciscan University alumni, is the founder of
One Peter Five, I understand the agenda now.

Whether he knows it or not, he's functioning as a "Watch-dog of the Revolution".
i.e., Herd them sheep... keep em all in line.

I'm thankful we still have the gift of truthful information, like "Non Possumus" to help guide us.

They explained St. Athanasius's position correctly, as quoted:

(Schneider) claims the opposite: that the SSPX joins the unrepentant moderators and moderates who are unrepentant, unrepentant, to fight the liberals and extreme modernists. But in addition to inciting this true betrayal, he pretends that the "alliance of traditionalists and conservatives" is subject to the most damaging of all modernists and liberals today: Pope Francis, which is as absurd as if St. Athanasius had intended to put himself under Orders from Arius himself in order to combat Arianism.)

Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

Well said. Indeed, as the Non Possumus blog rightly says, and in which you quote above... "which is as absurd as if St. Athanasius had intended to put himself under Orders from Arius himself in order to combat Arianism." That pretty much sums it up, in a simple way. If the SSPX were to reconcile under Francis, it would be like Saint Athanasius willingly putting himself under Arius to combat Arianism. It defies logic to consider that the SSPX would put themselves under the leader of the Modernists (Francis) in order to combat Modernism.

I do think that Steve Skojec sincerely believes that the SSPX will help the Church, but he doesn't really understand the issues. His blog rarely mentions anything about the Vll Council or Modernism, and Bishop Schneider doesn't either, as far as I can recall. And the One Peter Five blog appears to be the more or less official American mouthpiece for Bishop Schneider.
