I mean all the people who go to resistance Masses who think the SSPX consecrations are going to change things.

You mean to say you have not met in real life or seen online people like this?
That's a concern and it betrays a very superficial understanding of the crisis in the SSPX.
The resistance-minded Trads I know remain remarkably clear-sighted.

Don't you hear so many "Bravos" from the Resistance clergy about July 1?   +Aquinas, +Z, +Morgan, Fr. Chazal... They all add a tiny caveat: 'Wait and see'  they say.   Well, what exactly are we waiting to recognize if the neo-SSPX has gone retro 2012?  They lost the confession, marriage deals, probably all N.O. churches are closed to them. What exactly do we want the Neo-SSPX to declare in the next weeks? Their latest media blitz is : We are not in schism!!!

Someone asked me if I was going back to the SSPX. To explain my decision to avoid neo-SSPX, strong arguments are not obvious. . Is the book : "As we are?" obsolete?  Is the SSPX still eager for dialogue?
The entire Trad movement just experienced a cold shower...uncertain times is an understatement.  On the flip side, this will expose all the arrangements SSPX had, "under the table" so to speak, but were discrete and secret.
Definitely not the same as 1988!

If you can read history, the arguments have not disappeared. Bishop Williamson and the resisting priests have not been rehabilitated.
If you value certainly valid sacraments, the arguments are not too subtle: ask Sean Johnson. He was one of the unlucky ones who scored a doubtful priest from the Novus Ordo at his SSPX church.
If you are one of the poor souls refused conditional confirmation, the arguments are obvious enough.
Do you hear the SSPX crying that we cannot put ourselves under the authority of these wolves who are devouring the sheep?
Do you hear a distinction again between the Catholic Church and the Conciliar Church? Do you ever see or hear from the SSPX of the Newchurch or the new religion?
As you say, very different from 1988. Very different.
Rather, you sense an attitude of "we have been kicked out, but we belong inside". The continual commentry from Bishop(?) Schneider promoted by the SSPX on its website has helped foster this error and desire for a "side chapel in the ecuмenical basilica" as Bishop Morgan puts it.
It is obvious that the Church is infiltrated, just as St Pius X warned us in Pascendi, and that same enemy is obviously now in the healthy part of the Church, i.e. Tradition, the SSPX, and the major gains made since 2012 have not been lost. Indeed, the senior bishop consecrated is the very one who welcomed Bishop(?) Huonder into the Society.
Indeed, wait and see... and pray, of course.
