    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • I used to go to the SSPX bc they inspired me..I thought they truly believed in the Social Reign of Crist the King and had some militancy about them...now I feel like the bus broke down and we're all stranded in Krahtown...or Fellayville if you will....Bp Williamson? They tried dragging him behind the bus...( " go do penance for the rest of your life for offending our elder brothers in the faith...") but he refused...Fr. Hewko and Fr. Pfeiffer come by once in awhile...but they have to keep on moving...and, truth be told, we have too much baggage in the bus to wander very far....So he we are...stuck in Fellayville...

  • Pity the people who sold their homes and moved to St. Mary's....they're stuck in a physical Fellayville....which will be more and more like Krahtown as time goes by...

Listen to Fr. Pfeiffer's sermon from October 20, 2013, on YouTube and inthissign...Then re-listen to Bishop Fellah's conference.  If Fr. Pfeiffer doesn't convince you, look up Fr. Kramer's interview on Freemasonic infiltration of the Vatican.  The real picture emerges.  I agree that there are still some good priests, individually, in the SSPX, but I'm afraid as a foundation, the SSPX of Archbishop Lefebvre is finished.  I'm interested in the views of others who have watched/listened to/read all three, Bp. Fellay, Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Kramer.
Yes, "the situation IS serious, very serious."  BISHOP WILLIAMSON'S introductory words in his Confirmation sermon in Brewster, NY, April 2012.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

    You have my sympathy.

Does anyone know an easy way to speed up an MP3 recording to play faster, so it doesn't take so long to listen to him?    :confused1:

  • Bp. Fellay does not disappoint me half as much as the hundreds sitting adoringly at his feet, sopping up his rhetorical swill.  From our Protestant background we can recall numbers of slick preachers, evangelical con artists, and lying, Bible-thumping hucksterers.  It just goes with the territory.  After they reveal their true nature, the more enlightened Protestant faithful  simply thumb their noses at these shysters and move on to the next Protestant venue.   But here you have a Catholic "leader," arguably heading up what has been the most effective, and most recognized Catholic resistance to VII in the past 50 or so years.  But he's amounts to little more than a Catholic "Elmer Gantry' IMO.  He doesn't thump the Bible.  He thumps all the Marian cliches.  He thumps the Fatima Message.  He thumps the Rosary.  The man is phony beyond belief.  Why, he might as well be wearing a gawdy tie with matching handkerchief hanging out of the lapel pocket of an equally garrish colored suit coat.  He ought to have on a pair of highly polished alligator shoes and his hair slicked back with greasy pomade. We Americans are easily suckered by these kinds of preachers with persuasive voices and tricky demeanors.  even though they haven't an ounce of true spirituality.  Such is Fellay, IMO>

  • Dear Hollingsworth,

"He thumps all the Marian cliches. He thumps the Fatima Message. He thumps the Rosary. The man is phony beyond belief."

Is the point that H.E. is too Catholic for your taste?

After all, you'll find much the same Marian cliches in the writings of St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Anthony Claret, and St. Louis de Montfort, to name just a few.

Do they also make you want to puke?

Perhaps they do.  The people who constantly treated St. Louis like dirt were mostly Catholics.

  • I love Mary.  We pray three Rosaries almost every day.  I love the Fatima Message and wait eagerly for its total fulfillment.  But I am coming to believe in these difficult days that there are a few Catholics, namely clerics, who, I feel, use and exploit the Holy Virgin in much the same way that some Protestant preachers use and exploit the Holy Bible.

  • Dear Hollingsworth,

"But I am coming to believe in these difficult days that there are a few Catholics, namely clerics, who, I feel, use and exploit the Holy Virgin in much the same way that some Protestant preachers use and exploit the Holy Bible."

Protestant preachers exploit the bible by grotesquely misrepresenting what it says, from Luther until the present day.

By contrast, traditional Marian devotion is a priority of the SSPX.  Fr. Liebets as a proponent of St. Louis de Monfort's consecration to Mary, and Fr. Stehlin as a proponent of the Marian spirituality of St. Maximilian Kolbe came to mind.  The last number of the Angelus was devoted to the Immaculate Heart.  The Society's logo is the intertwined hearts.  It all looks like straight, no chaser Marian devotion to me, as does Bishop Fellay's own obvious devotion to the Blessed Mother, or the Marian themes of many of the holy pictures of the recent SSPX ordinands.

So I'd be interested in knowing the basis for your belief that this is all an exercise in exploitation.

  • „John Anthony“, you write in a manner which hints at some authority. Any reason I'm getting that impression, or would you confirm you're just another lay schlep like the rest of us.
