I have just learned that the seminary Bishop Faure wishes to start, with help from the Avrille fathers, might not happen if the family planning to rent the house out to His Excellency cannot find a new home.

Prayers are requested that the family is able to find a new residence.

Probably sounds like a dumb question, but why can't they just rent a different house?

I'm not 100% sure, I didn't think to ask. I believe they want a house/building close enough to the Friars to allow for the seminarians to attend classes there, as well. I would imagine there are only so many houses in the area that are available.

Basically to do otherwise would be to give to Fr. Pfeiffer (for example) full control of the Resistance's future. All priests formed would be loyal to him. Now that would be a dangerous and undesirable situation, regardless of who the priest is (not just Fr. Pfeiffer in particular).

Not everything has to be the product of a power struggle. How about not wanting young men to have to learn a 2nd language in order to test a vocation? (Well, 3rd language, as you'd have to study Latin.)

I would hope that any bi-lingual professors of these seminaries could assist another seminary via video conference courses.

iow, far better for them to be working together than worried about who will control any new priests!

That is true. We have yet to see the quality of the candidates who are in Kentucky.
One hopes that they will be an improvement upon the newer SSPX ordinands, actually, they must be otherwise, why have a separate movement?

We are at the stage of this struggle where a warm body will no longer suffice.

I was going to mention the "Where is Bp. Faure's seminary going to be? What country will it be in?" angle, but I had to wrap up the post before I answered the phone which turned out to be a long (albeit enjoyable) phone call.
