I only saw him from some distance at the back of the hall. I was not mature enough to appreciate the full significance of his visit and can only remember a few details.

At the time there were other Latin Mass outfits occupying the rebel trad scene and the archbishop was no doubt assessing the possibilities. With regard to the effect he had on people, what puzzles me is why did most of his early collaborators eventually abandon him.

Sometimes I think that we are beyond Calvary.  We are at the point of Christ being carried to the Tomb.  Thankfully, we know there will be an Easter Sunday.
