Blow In

In my youth I saw ABL in the flesh in Chelsea Town Hall; he always drew a large crowd. There were Fr. (Peter) Morgan and Fr. Hogan in attendance. Later on I would go to lively weekend conferences and pilgimages organised by Fr. Black. But at the first Wimbledon Mass held this month I did not recognise anyone. The people I spoke to were either converts or fairly new to the SSPX. They knew little of its history, even ignorant of current events. Instead of being brought up to date since parting company with the Society, I was educating them instead! We talk here a lot about the 'old guard' now being excluded from the Society, yet so many of them seem to be staying firm and a lot of the recent following are leaving.

That's great!  Just so long as you don't teach them how to spell pilgrimages!

But seriously, it must have been a real honor to meet ABL in person.
I have friends who had that experience and it seems to have
changed their lives for the better.  Saints all have had that effect
on people throughout history.

Neil!  It was a typo on the part of Wessex.

I'm not a "blow-in" to the SSPX either.  I'd like to see it restored; but if I have to leave, I will:  In the same manner I left the Novus Ordo 20 years ago.

Yup. This right here.

I started going when I was 16, to an Independent chapel, after the indult kicked us out for going "back and forth." I was thankful for that, but now my church has been hijacked by the XSPX.
