Dear Father,
Thank you for this letter. I quite understand. I apologize if my response is brief.
It is my opinion that regrettably few priests of the Fraternity understand the gravity of the current situation, both in the world and in the Fraternity. As you suggest, they are comfortable and somewhat blind. In particular, I am told Msgr Fellay does not like to hear talk about the Apocalypse. It is serious. Humanly judging, the Church will suffer even more, with the consent of God who wants to purify his Church. It takes blood to wash away sin, says St. Paul. We shall see blood.
Decisions taken with respect to your servant in the months of January and February show that the Fraternity is on a false path of conciliation with the united powers of the modernized Church and the world (the Jews). This is the path of Vatican II. Poor Msgr Fellay! But the true Church will survive... this much is clear.
For you, my advice would be not to join the Fraternity, but rather to cooperate with it. Keep your independence if you can, because it is my opinion that the Fraternity is in danger. If it overcomes the danger, then think about entering - but not before. The danger may last a while. You see very well how the same disease of the pre-conciliar period is now threatening the Fraternity. The same causes produce the same effects, and these causes of apostasy are more powerful than ever.
Father, I congratulate you for your clear vision: it is a gift, albeit an uncomfortable one, like that of Cassandra, which comes from God. A very precious gift because it allows you to act according to reality, and not according to liberal fantasies. Give thanks to God, pray peacefully, and be very faithful to the breviary - whether in Spanish or in Latin. I believe it to be the key to priestly perseverance. Do not omit to pray the holy rosary, and prepare your sheep for suffering. Ad astra per ardua! I shall offer a Mass for all your intentions.
In Christ,
+ Richard Williamson

Just one thing, in the link the person says "To an Argentinian priest from the Novus Ordo who asks for your advice, you recommend that he should not join the SSPX." Nevertheless take note that this is inaccurate. Fr. Grosso was not Novus Ordo at that time. He was a priest "friend of the Society" (if that is the correct term in English).

Cristian - you are from Argentina... is the translation accurate? The IA poster says it is unofficial?

I still have to listen the audio, I just heard the first part of it, but the letter was read afterwards. They should publish it, I don´t know why they don´t do that.
Anyway as soon as I finish hearing the audio I`ll let you know if it is accurate. All I knew about that letter was that Bp Williamson told Fr. Grosso not to enter the SSPX.
-
Interesting - let us know. As it stands, the letter doesn't suggest Bishop Williamson has a very high opinion of his brother priests in the FSSPX.
-
what are the alternatives though?

He has a high opinion of all his non-liberal brother priests for sure.
... just ask some non-liberal priests who know the bishop personally.

I agree with Ethelred. My reading of this letter shows the Bishop has a high opinion of his brother priests. Priests in the SSPX have a high opinion of him and the Bishop is being honest in this letter. It's an excellent letter.

Thanks for posting this Klaus!
It is good advice for all of us and reiterates what his Excellency +W has been saying for the past 40 years.
+F has chosen to enter into Novus ordo fantasy-land, while ignoring his grave responsibilities to protect the remnant.
He dismisses the warnings Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Akita, which are
from the Apocalypse.
Like the Pope, +F needs our prayers because he is due to suffer much for his actions.
-
May God bless and keep H.E. Bishop Williamson!

I just heard it. The translation is very good! :)

Maurice Pinay at Ignis Ardens questions whether this passage of Bishop Williamson's letter is consistent with Catholic orthodoxy. What do people here think?
