Was comparing Bishop Williamson to a lion earlier today. He roars and we hear him speaking the truth but as long as he is caged (by an sspx quickly losing the faith) he can do no good to keep tradition alive.
Well, he's doing a lot to keep the Catholic tradition alive. For example by publishing a weekly sermon for years now, which is one great application of the Faith to our modern world and hence to our daily lives. Then his interviews and conferences keep the Catholic tradition alive, too.
Did you watch his 9 hour Bristol conference from June 2012? It's very helpful and he covers a very large range of important topics. His clear words combined with his very humorously way to put it (including some hilarious plays) really do keep Catholic tradition alive in a way which no other person currently could. He's a man of God and without doubt the true follower of Archbishop Lefebvre.
If His Excellency Bishop Williamson does not soon withdraw himself I may start having doubts in all 4 bishops!!
I know what you mean with "caged". But no need to worry, because Bishop Williamson will always fight for the Faith and help in keeping the Catholic tradition alive. He will do so inside or outside the SSPX. Let's wait and see what happens. The good Lord will lead his bishop.
It's well possible we now entered a period of "time where the soldier has to fight without banner" (*). Yes, it indeed looks like we just (re-) entered the time of the catacombs.
(*) That's a quotation from the famous German writer and world wars (plural) veteran Ernst Jünger. Later he converted to the Catholic Church (from protestantism) when he was about 100 years old, in the year 2000 or so. His original words were roughly: „Es kommt die Zeit, wo der Soldat ohne Fahne kämpfen muß“. I'd apply this to us Christian soldiers today.
