Here is the 3rd and final part of His Excellency's St. Paul, MN conference:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULjKrozd5yU&feature=youtu.be

PS: I also recorded His Excellency's Confirmation sermon, which preceded the conference.

I will load that tomorrow or the day after.

  • part 3

Now we have three threads on the same topic - only different by the fact
that this subjective division caused by the three segments of recording one
setting.  It turns into three videos, but it doesn't have to be three threads
on CI.  They will no doubt be separated over time, and all three threads
will not show up on the same page of the index in the future, unless
someone comes in and posts comments on all 3 threads every month or
two.  Nobody is going to bother with that.  Any maintenance issue can be
presumed to never happen unless it is automatic on a forum.  So far, the
only embedded device to keep threads together is to put them in their
own sub-forum, and these are all in the SSPX-Rome Agreement forum
not in the Resistance Sermons sub-forum, and there is no sub-forum for
+Williamson conferences or Resistance conferences, so they will not be
kept together by any other means.

At minute 1:15 H.E. has been speaking in the sitting position, and he makes
a comment about liberals in general, then he stands up to go point at
the white board to exemplify his words, saying, "All these are liberals."

But the camera remains where the Bishop had been sitting, and it is
now an empty chair with a blank wall behind it, showing nothing else but
for a water cup on the table, which is of no interest for us.

The item of interest is now the white board, and what is written on it, but
that is not visible in the video at all. For nearly a minute H.E. talks about
what is written on the board, and we have no idea what that is except
by his words which are a bit vague as he does not literally say what
it is he is pointing at on the board. At 2:20 he sits back down again, and
we have not seen what the white board contains AT ALL in this video.

You Tube does not link similar videos, and unless you use the exact
same title with "Part 3 of 4" in it, no one will be able to find another part
in the series.  So anyone watching this video, so far, will be unaware of
the existence of a white board, let alone the contents written on it.

In the end, for the duration of 21:09, this video never focuses on the
white board or its contents, so the viewer is left ignorant of the
illustration it proffers, and this problem could have been rectified by
only one moment of white board on the screen but preferably a
minute or two for each half of the board up close.  For a live cameraman,
this is not easy to get, and professional studios will have two or more
camera angles to mix and match, so they use a continuous sound
track but choose which camera's image to display at any given moment,
and this is much more effectively established after the filming is done
and the editing process is used to insert the visual selection for each
moment of the video.  When you are one cameraman, and one camera,
it's easy to see how forgetting to show the white board could happen,
but I'm making this observation to say that some coverage of the board
is essential, and no coverage of the board is rather conspicuously wanting.

Minute 3 -- a question is asked about GREC and H.E. does a very good
summary of what GREC came from, what the motives were, how it grew,
what happened and why, who was involved, the subjectively legitimate
intentions and objectives, starting with 1996, into 2000, up to 2009 and
2012.  This is a bird's-eye view and it's very impressive. At minue 7 he
asks his own question:  Where is the error?  And he answers it.  He points
out that the error had been there all along, but nobody was paying any
attention to it.  Bishop Fellay was personally involved with GREC from
the early beginning but he apparently did nothing to direct it away from
this error, and we are left surmising that the reason for that is that +F had
been only thinking of an approach from the wrong direction, and that if
he had been forthright about what the proper direction would be, he
would have had nothing to do with GREC from the start!

Minute 10 -- he's still talking about it.  "The high-ups of the Society are
infected with the modern world."  And the only solid way of avoiding
that is praying the Rosary.  We are left wondering, what happens to +F
when he prays the Rosary?  Or, does he pray it?  Maybe he says the words
and cannot meditate on the mysteries?

Minute 13 -- It's war between the red and the green.  But this video shows no
red and it shows no green.  So how will this discussion touch on that?  How
will anyone watching just that video have any idea what red or green stands
    for here?

Minute 15 -- +Fellay lowered the bar for Rome, so they would jump over it.
ABL raised the bar, to the place where it belongs, in doctrine.  This is a very
    powerful image.

Minute 17 -- The only reason that talks were possible is because the principles
of doctrine were set aside.  The Romans are off track because they have
    chosen to abandon the truth.

Minute 18 -- Dr. John Rau answered the question: What do you think is required?
His answer:  Blood. It's going to take blood before anyone realize that truth
is important.  That's the brave new world we have.  But the devils are behind it.

Finally, when H.E. stands to give his blessing, the left half of the white board
is visible, quite by accident, as the Bishop is standing partly in front of it, and it
just happens to be in the background.  But the frame is zoomed back too far to
be able to show what words are written on the white board.  We can see some
red lines and green words but we cannot see what it means from this distance.

Any chance you have Aspergers, or another autistic spectrum disorder?

Just asking, because you seem to be quite perturbed about minutiae nobody else is concerned with.

I never said the videos were fantastic, and acknowledged it was my first time filming and uploading.

    Marsha

    This is a great question!!

Have you downloaded the latest Adobe Flash software? It's free, and it seems
to be working better than the old one.

Still, I get pop-up windows that say the Flash player is running slowly because
a script is trying to execute on that page and my firewall or antivirus is
    blocking it.

YouTube uses Adobe Flash and there are ads
that come along with the package, so depending on your browser, settings,
antivirus and firewall, you may be getting stalling or stopping of Flash.

I would recommend not only getting the latest version of Flash, but also
do a disc cleanup (if you're using a PC) and then do the defragment program.
These are both part of your system software.  I'm using XP, but I know
cleanup and defrag are on Vista and Windows 7, but I'm not sure about
    Windows 8.

Also, do not have a bunch of tabs or other programs running while you are
trying to run YouTube Flash.  And that especially means don't have several
tabs or browser programs going with YouTube videos even if they are on
    pause or stand-by.

When you stop your computer, you should SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM, so
that you can restart later.  When you restart Windows it does a lot of good
for the operation of the system, because that's how Windows organizes your
storage on the hard drive.  Otherwise, if you just use "stand by" or let the
screen fall asleep after 30 minutes or whatever the setting is, you do not
allow the computer to re-organize and start up fresh, so you have too much
data in your RAM that uses up valuable "table top space," as it were, and
that too can cause Flash to crash or run too slowly.

And BTW, SeanJohnson:  Please don't blame me for thumbs down because
I have thumbed up all your posts on these videos, even when you are
posting criticisms of my posts, FWIW.

You could use the small Firefox addon Unplug to download a media file from Youtube or other media websites to your local disc :
    http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/unplug/

When browsing the media website, just press Unplug's green fish symbol in Firefox and you will be prompted to choose a video format to save the media file. "Normal Quality Mp4" (Mpeg4) is a good choice for most users and easy to handle afterwards.

Although in many cases Youtube uses HTML5 videos, so no sick Flashplayer is needed to see the media online, with this addon you can also download the older Flashplayer videos from Youtube or other sites, and watch the files offline with a standard media player like Vidoelan VLC: http://www.videolan.org/

If you want to merge several saved video files into one file, there's various tools, for example the powerful Handbrake: http://www.handbrake.fr/

If you want to extract the soundtrack from such a locally saved video file, there's various tools, for example the audio-editor Audacity:
    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
(Audacity allows to exports uncompressed WAV audio files. To extract a MP3 file you can use a MP3 addon from Audacity's website.)

So much for the "domestic use". Additions and corrections from experts welcome.

No, and both addons are good and work fine.
The "Unplug" one is just smaller and doesn't have so many features and supported media websites compared to DownloadHelper, which however accommodates my new spartan approach to computers: KISS (Keep It Simple and Stupid.)

You're right, nobody cares.  Isn't that great?

One would think it would be a bit "greater" if everyone were eager
to understand the content of the speech +W is giving!  These
doctrines are difficult enough for us to get a grasp of, without the
extra burden of trying to guess what was written on the illustration
board on the wall during the conference.

    Quote
But it's all about me, isn't it?  That's the way with this
liberal modern world. Everything is subjective.

As H.E. explained, it's a feminizing of thinking.  If he tells his
niece that London is a terrible place to live, she immediately replies,
"You're opposed to my uncle Jack!" (who lives in London).

Liberalism is essentially a feminization of thinking.  I have a friend who
is all caught up in it, even though she is a traditional Catholic, and
when I mention ANYTHING that takes note of an action or message of
+F that is opposed to the principles of ABL, her only reply to me is
    "You're just anti-Fellay."

That is a typically feminist retort, like "You're opposed to my uncle Jack!"

And it's not confined to women, and it's not confined to NovusOrdos.
It is even found among trad Catholic men, as exemplified above.

Anyone who manages to get this software to work, as Ethelred
describes above, and who extracts the content of +W's conference,
will find that some of what he's referring to will be incomprehensible
due to the fact that they can't see his illustration board, to which
he refers in general terms, so as not to have to repeat himself.  He
is a very experienced speaker, and instructor, and what he writes on
the board he does so in order that he is free to not speak it again
and yet use its content by reference later in the talk.
