This was my first foray into both recording a video and uploading one onto Youtube.

It took 6+ hours for this Part 1 (51 minutes long) to upload.

Part 2 & 3 are in the process of uploading presently.

Part 2 should take another 12 hours.

Part 3 will take another 6.

Not sure why so long, but here you go:

  • Clearly, HE was irritated and distracted by the children off to the side, and rightly so...what's wrong with women?  Either find a babysitter or stay at home and let the husband attend.  This is not an event for children.

  • Great video,  Sean Johnson.

If I may, with your kind permission, I would like to have it uploaded into my YouTube account.
Thank you and may God's Blessing be upon you always.

How true and thanks for bringing up that annoyance.

This was already so with His Excellency's conferences in USA around New Year. The noise is also a huge problem for us who don't speak native English: we hardly understand his Excellency anymore because of the brat noise.
This noise is also very bad when you burn audio CDs with His Excellency's conferences and sermons for off-line Catholics, so the poor people just hear His Excellency without his meaningful paralanguage, and are even more helpless against the brat noise.

You can also observe this problem here in Europe in the Neo-SSPX chapels since years. It's increasing and really just underlines the exploding liberalisation of tradcats, in combination with the passing of commons sense. The good bishop said many times that tradcat men are too liberal and amongst other points fail to lead their wives then. In one good sermon a few years ago in Germany he called us "Schmalzmenschen" (Schmalz-men).

2nd comment under Sean's Youtube link:
    Quote from: Joseph Pascal
God bless His Excellency for this wonderful exposition. It could not have been better! Wonderful, wonderful intellect.

Why don't people have the common sense to leave unruly children at home? If he wasn't a genius of the first class, he wouldn't have been able to hear himself think. Very inconsiderate.

    Thanks Sean for the video(s).

Many thanks for sharing and for assuring me it is not just me, who has experienced delays with YouTube. I did promise some videos of the recent rosary vigil in Dublin but it stated one video would take 55 minutes to upload. I haven't had time so now am like the politician  and have broken my promise. I will have to try email the file if anybody wants them.

  • Thank you, Sean.  We need more and more of these kinds of instructional sessions from H.E.  Yes, the brats are a problem.  But consider, perhaps, that the parents don't get this opportunity very often, and probably both fathers and mothers want to be there to hear the bishop.  Babysitters are an added expense that some young families can not bear.

Yes, of course. But wouldn't you agree that, whether here or at Mass, respecting the legitimate rights and needs of others should still come first, especially when the matter at hand is (or pertains to) divine worship? Should "want[ing] to be there" be allowed to trump all other considerations?

  • Anyone who reads this thread before watching the video will be under the impression that the conference was 'ruined' because of 'stupid women' and 'brats.'  This is simply not the case, and I'm a little surprised to see traditional Catholics complaining about the noise caused by little ones.  It's quite easy to follow along, and whatever outbursts there were at the conference were quickly settled.  If the parents there were stupid and thoughtless, and the kids were brats, then there would have been constant screaming throughout.

It's a shame that people would rather talk about this than the content of the video.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

I agree. I have only watched the first 10 minutes or so of the video but do agree.

  • Kids need to be at Mass. Not at a conference. I will never scold anyone for there kids during Mass. It's an opportunity for patience.

  •  I listened to the whole of part one and I must say it's excellent material (once again) from His Excellency.
    I'm looking forward to parts 2 & 3.

Regarding the noises from the children (I don't like using the term "kids" as that's what baby goats are and inappropriate to use on God's children) was very minimal which was only a slight distraction....few and far apart.

Thank you Sean for posting this.......we're truly Blessed to have this wonderful Bishop who's unceasingly fighting to preserve the Truth!!!  :applause:
