So while I appreciate your implication that I'm some kind of cross between Bill Clinton and Bishop Fellay in political long-windedness (while saying nothing) and beating around the bush....

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't appreciate it at all!

Our Lord commanded us to be straightforward in our speech: "But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil." (Matt 5:37)

I don't think a simple "no" is called for in this case. I suspected that I knew the reasoning behind the original question, so I addressed this core, unspoken question in my detailed response.

The fact of the matter is, Fr. Zendejas only gave me authorization to advertise Bishop Williamson's visit to Fr. Zendejas' own Houston chapel. CathInfo doesn't have a comprehensive list, but no one else does either. And that "lack of list" was by design, not by accident.

And that's the plain and simple truth! And I'm dealing it straight, telling it like it is.

Each chapel has full authority to decide about IF and where to publicize the event. Fr. Zendejas might have mentioned CathInfo as an option to each of them, but it was only a suggestion.

I can understand this position. Each location is totally different with regards to the population, level of conflict (or "heat"), local issues, other chapels in the area, etc. An action that would be smart in one place would be foolish in another. It depends on your local situation. There are simply too many variables to make blanket recommendations.

Whoa, whoa, whoa......hold on pardner.  I come in peace.  I thought no evil; I spoke no evil.  My comment was directed to PaulFHC and meant to be humorous.  Sorry to have epically failed to convey that.

God bless :sign-surrender:

That's good -- I guess it was a misunderstanding. At least we got it cleared up!
