If I am not mistaken, only those whose names are on Fr. Zendejas' list of faithful were notified.
The chapel is small. Once the deal is published, it will be way too small. +Williamson's sermon was good but he ruined it for me by once again recommending the duly condemned "Poem" to be read to our children in the evenings, in his conference after dinner.

  • So he mentions "The Poem" who cares. It's not like anyone doesn't know he likes the book. I applaud him for not caring about resistance PC. He is firm and it's his opinion. Why must he always be critized for his opinion. Move on folks. You don't like it, don't read it.

Not true. This was an open conference.  Those who go to OLMC in the area knew about the visit as well bc some of their followers were there. Everyone in town knew of this visit. These are lies that are spread about Fr. Zendejas.

My question was more about an online announcement. That I can remember, St Mary's had not been announced on the threads here.

It's only a negative statement if the person saying it is trying to find a way to malign Father. There's nothing inherently wrong with not posting the announcement online. Each of the locations visited by Bp Williamson was allowed to choose how and where they wanted to announce the visit.

  • fwiw, the chapel email list here contains not just weekly parishioners, but anyone close enough to be interested in any events that may take place here. If you're close enough to possibly visit a chapel, I'd recommend asking if they have an email list.

  • Yes, some use this for an(other) excuse to attack Bp. Williamson. I know that's not how Wallflower meant it, but it does bring up the topic.

Which reminds me of the young accordista from St. Mary's, KS at my local Texas SSPX chapel -- we were discussing Bp. Faure's consecration, and his main argument was "it wasn't public enough".

I asked him, "Did you want to go?"

Silence, of course.  "I thought so."

    Ridiculous.

These people just want an excuse to indulge in their uber-convenient SSPX situation they've built up (or their parents built up) and are currently enjoying. It allows them to focus more time on themSELVES and their own fun, hobbies, pleasures, etc.

Those hobbies and pleasures are sure attractive (I'll be the first to admit it!) but we must be willing to put God FIRST if we're to keep the Faith, and have our children keep the Faith. God is putting us through a test right now.
