We apologize for the abysmal audio quality.  The sound system was suffering technical difficulties.  At least one chapel visitor recorded the sermon on their phone, however, and once that becomes available to us we will upload a cleaner, more audible version of the sermon.

Bishop Williamson visited Our Lady of the Pillar Chapel in Louisville, KY, on Wednesday, May 25th to administer the sacrament of Confirmation and to celebrate Holy Mass.  Special thanks also to Fr. Zendejas for his help in coordinating the ceremonies.

A tremendously enjoyable reception in the chapel hall followed.

  • We're in contact with the gentleman who recorded the sermon on his phone.  He'll be uploading the MP3 to dropbox and, once we receive it, it will be uploaded to Youtube and posted here.

    Thanks!

  • You were so blessed to get to see him!  I have never met him personally but I always feel so encouraged in the true Catholic Faith whenever I listen to or watch his audios & videos --

We really need to keep him in prayer ---

I pray that the Lord and Our Lady will keep him strong and healthy for many years to come -- as we go through these turbulent times.

  • Thank you. I am reserving this for Sunday, so I have not seen it (I have never seen a true Confirmation) but I must say the chapel is very beautiful. God bless you

  • I forgot to mention that the first two or three minutes of the sermon are missing, unfortunately.

  • Thank you for giving us this audio!!!!

By the way, I really like your photo of Fr. Feeney!  It makes me so happy to see it.

I had the privilege of visiting his grave a few weeks ago -- while attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at St. Ann's House in Still River, MA.

What a prophet he was -- regarding all that has happened in the Catholic Church --

    Oh my!!!!!

And no Catholic cleric of modern times understood or wrote about the anti-Christian Jєωs better than he did:

    THE POINT MAGAZINE (1952 ~ 1959)

The Catholic intellectual Bloodhounds who took the mask off the perfidious Jєωs in the 20 Century were of Irish descent:

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

May I ask for some help -- as regards Fr. Feeney's teaching on Baptism of Desire?

I hear conflicting things that confuse me as regards his teaching on this -

The Council of Trent has supposedly accounted for the reality/possibility of Baptism of Desire -- if it is a desire for Baptism, itself -- and not just for "the good," as this was expanded by Vatican 2.

What did Fr. Feeney really hold on this?

    Thanks!

I think there's a section on the forum for questions like this.

    http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php?a=forum&f=28

Not only might your question be lost here, as it's not the right forum and totally off-topic to this thread, but also I think Matthew only wants discussion of that topic in that special forum section.  If you start a thread in that section with your question as the title, that would probably be best.

Okay, we won't turn this into a BOD/BOB debate, but please allow me to answer Fatimagirl's questions:

    1. The Trent Catechism debate on BOD/BOB is most intriguing.

Father Feeney's apostolate insisted that the original Latin editions of Trent did not account for BOD/BOB.  But what did dumbed-down Catholics care at the time?

Yes, in English Trent publications of the late 1800s, the BOD "suggestion" is there.

However, in early Trent editions, it is missing.

In the following 1850, PDF Latin to English translation, you can read through yourself.

Under Chapter II, "Baptism" from all pages on the topic (157 to 196) there is no mention of BOD or BOB.

1850 Council of Trent Catechism (Latin to English)

Not a whiff, nor a hint of such Baptisms exist.

I know of another citing, from an actual antique catechism published from the 1600s, where the same lack of BOD/BOB is true.

How could this be?   Who was monkeying around with the printing presses in the late 1800s?

Matthew insists no one on this forum knows what they are talking about on this subject.
I counter, we have it in black and white and with eyes and brains... we read it and can understand it.

    2. Father Feeney's positions on Baptism, Justification and Salvation are articulated in his book "Bread of Life".

Thank you for your patience with me.

  • That about says it, thanks Incred. The later editions and translations of Trent were not faithful to the original which has the authority over the Baltimore which contains even more alteration.
