Great conference...caution: Not for those who can't bear to hear the truth!
Very true, bernadette.
This would be a great penance device in a JUST Society of St. Pius X.
Under the Social Reign of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest, any
accused found guilty of Aggiornamentoism or False Accordism would
be henceforth eligible to be confined to a padded cell with minimal
clothing, and this recording to be played.
The subject would be asked to answer several important questions
before the playback begins.
It would be divided into tracks, each one self-contained, and capable
of standing alone, even while not unrelated to the others. These
would be set to play loud enough that the subject could not avoid
hearing it by, say, putting his hands to his ears, although perhaps by
putting his fingers into his ear orifices. There would be 24 to 59 tracks
which would be set to play at random, with a set program for playing
certain ones more frequently at first, and certain other ones more
frequently after the first 10 hours. A period of silence would be
programmed to occur after the first 12 hours, about the average time
for a +Fellay speech.
But the silence would be only for eleven minutes, which would be just
long enough for the subject to think that it had stopped for a reasonable
time. It would then play, at random, all the tracks, such that some may
be repeated more than once, for the next two hours, then a silence
period of thirty minutes would be allowed, which would begin with the
volume gradually decreasing over 10 minutes until reaching zero.
After this half hour of silence, the volume would be gradually increased
again to 5 decibels and held there for two minutes, then increased
gradually, in steps, one decibel at a time, every 20 seconds, for the
next 10 minutes and then held there at 35 decibels for the next two
hours. Pause the recording there, at the end of the current track, for
one minute, then resume playback, on a different track, at the end of
which pause the playback again, this time for a random number of
minutes between one and ten, for the next 5 hours, at 35 decibels.
Stop the playback, and allow the subject the opportunity to get
cleaned up and answer questions in a controlled environment.
Depending on his progress in answering the questions, he will be
either returned to the padded cell for more penance, or else some
other suitable measures would be taken.
