  • Judging by the number of views, there must still be some CathInfo members/readers who haven't seen this video yet. Come on, guys, it's only 1 1/2 minutes.

It's very powerful to hear him say the words. For one thing, it's beyond the possibility of denial.

Bishop Williamson went out of his way to endorse the apostolate of 2 priests in particular, who are being slandered in certain quarters.

(I created this video as a youtube advertisement for the chapel here.)

  • I saw this already.  Thanks for posting.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

    Thank you for viewing it.

I'm sure many others "got the general idea" from the surrounding thread, even if they didn't watch the video. They figured there's no point watching the video if they got the gist of it.

But like I said, watching him say the actual words is much more compelling than any text.

  • You're preaching to the choir.

Everyone should just consider it a quirky request, like an eccentric person might make. Think: Don Quixote.

Or a favor. As in, "Just watch the video and humor me."

Or a third party might say, "Just humor the goofball and watch his video already..."

  • The endorsement, in a gentle way is, also a condemnation of the slanderers.
There are some, who are simply too undisciplined to work without a superior authority to direct them. That can sometimes be a problem among independents, but, it is an unhappy reality in these times.

  • I understand that some elements in this Church Crisis are difficult, and many problems don't have definitive answers.

But at least this one small issue -- regarding 2 priests and their status -- has been proven or settled: Fr. Zendejas and Fr. Garcia ARE resisting the SSPX, and have the full approval of Bishop Williamson.

How much that means to each person depends on his own wisdom, beliefs and free will.

Remember, even Our Lord couldn't win everyone over, not even by working miracles. How did the bad-willed react? They blasphemously claimed He was working miracles by the power of satan.

That's fallen human nature and free will for ya. You can't force people to be good, and you can't force people to follow the truth.

  • I watched it, but since I'm not associated with the Resistance, I don't really count.  :smirk:

Bp. Williamson also seemed to emphasize the importance of praying for priests and bishops, which is really important, I think.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine
    De Romano Pontifice, Lib.II, c.29
