Bishop Williamson defines the resistance
« on: Today at 10:29:08 AM »
"So there's been a regrouping of some of these priests in what's often called the resistance, but that's in inverted commas, because it's not any kind of structured organization.

It's simply a loose association of like-minded priests basically thinking that the Archbishop was right.  And he was completely right,  and he it's his ideas and his line that is the solution to the
problems with the Catholic Church and the problems of the modern world.

And it's not a kind of compromise or spirit of going along with the new world or with the new church that is going to save either the new world or the new church, the new world.

And the new church are on a collision course are driving straight into the wall basically and no half and half measures will  answer to the problem but only a full-blooded understanding of what the Catholic Church always used to be and what what it always was, in order to save souls and save the world.

....

I'm part of a small group of what are called resistant priests who are standing for what Archbishop Lefebvre stood for and what the church tomorrow the catholic church tomorrow will again be standing for because it can't stand for anything else, and survive the catholic truth the catholic church can only survive on the undiluted truth and with no compromises with the modern world"

"What is the SSPX resistance exactly? Is it, is it a movement?

It's a movement. It's not a structure.

I don't think it can be structured any longer. It's my opinion that, in a way, the time
for structures is past. The Catholic church is normally a structure, it depends upon the Pope.

If the Pope is not there, or if the Pope is as though he's not there, if the Pope is simply not functioning, which I think we can say for
Pope Bergoglio, uh, if the Pope is not there, you can't operate the church without him."

.....................

"And, um, the resistance, the so-called resistance, which without its structure, with all its little numbers, with all its poverty of means, is in my hopes, but it doesn't depend
upon me. It does not depend upon me. It's a number of priests moving in the same direction, which used to be the direction of Archbishop Lefebvre, but a direction which was abandoned by the leaders of the society, um, in the early 2000s, about 10 years ago, when they decided that they officially wanted to change the policy of no agreement without, no practical agreement without, with Rome, with the Romans, without a doctrinal agreement."
