Just heard that Bishop Williamson will not be visiting India towards the end of May 2012.

Here is the official reason:

MAY 2012

· No visit by Bishop Williamson. His Lordship cancelled the trip because he wants to be in Europe when Rome responds to the latest communication from the Society. There is little hope of a bishop coming this year.

That could be good news. Perhaps they intend an intervention to halt a proposed compromise?

Could be he suspects that Rome was waiting for him to be occupied with
Confirmations in India (if that's what it was for) so they could take advantage
of his planned absence to do some arm-twisting.

I'm sure Williamson does not cancel a planned visit without just cause.

In any event, it must be another big cross to bear for his faithful in India.

They need our prayers!
