  • Of course not. This was not the case before, when the SSPX chapels had faithful and clergy who recognized the crisis in the Church. Now the chapels are full of people who fled from the Novus Ordo and who are satisfied with having the Latin Mass. The younger priests do not care if their parishioners attend the Novus Ordo. They also support going to the indult.  It is all about making money and building monuments along with worldly pleasures. Traditional Catholics(for the most part) don’t have the funds the Novus Ordo has hence the treason. That’s one reason there are others, of course.
Yep, the SSPX chapel that I go to has doubled in attendance since I started attending back in October, and I'm pretty sure it's mostly indult and Novus Ordo refugees. One of the parishioners that I know had to shush someone next to her a few weeks ago because they were audibly reciting the "Domine non sum dignus" while the priest was :fryingpan:

    People underestimate Francis.

The dilution of Tradition which the refugees would bring/cause was part of the plan (and the SSPX does not object, because it couldn't have happened unless the SSPX itself was already diluted).

The busiest parishoners are also the liberals. They are the most enthusiastic at organising the parish events and not a single one of them are people you can talk too about the crisis in the Church, the suspicious sacraments of the Novus Ordo or other hard hitting subjects. They are all very nice though

  • So, one would presume that the SSPX would had checked the background /history of the late +  ? Huonder. RIP.+  Ecuмenical, etc. Son of Vatican II too. "God is still leading the  ιεμυs"... But I fear the superiors have an agenda...The Society has surely changed; and this latest tactic / promoting of a Novus Ordo prelate, is another proverbial "nail in their coffin".  Great post P V, and eye-popping replies as well.! :(

    Depends on which one.

I am one who surely would not. In fact, I would be quite surprised if we learned that somebody was rejected by the SSPX because of Modernism, Judaizing or anything else dear to Pope Francis.

Yes, I was just discussing this with others today. This attitude of the younger priests undermines the stance of the Archbishop, causes confusion, and most importantly it puts the faithful in a serious situation because they are not really relying on the supplied jurisdiction that would warrant them coming to the sspx in the first place.

If the new priests think Society chapel attendance is just one choice on the trad Latin Mass spectrum, which I believe our young pastor believes, the newSociety is completely off the rails.  The only other explanation is that the regularization is coming soon and they are just behaving as if it's already happened.

  • I am in awe of God's crooked finger that put a stop to fake Holy Oils and planned Priestly Ordinations this year.  We do not need more doubtful sacraments!
