I just thought I'd share the good news. His Excellency will be taking up residence at the new priory in Chicago later this year.
Fr. Gardner announced it before the sermon.

Is anyone able to confirm this? Does anyone know why he is being transferred to Chicago or when he will take up residence there? I seem to remember reading somewhere a month or so ago that Bishop Tissier was going to be transferred to Chicago, but never heard anything more.

In France the church properties belong to the state. This is one reason the SSPX hasn't had much trouble with having places to say mass there - but it also makes the grasp of the leadership over the faithful much more tenuous than in the US.

If the SSPX split, in France, those who split off will not have serious obstacles for finding places to say mass, in all likelihood.

Perhaps soon there will be more transfers also at a lower level among the district superiors and priests.

'Infiguris' you can bet there will be further transfers! But who? where? why? Dissenters will no doubt be transferred to be under a superior faithful to +Fellay, or sent to Timbuctoo!

I'm not absolutely positive, but not that long ago (a year, maybe 2) the talk was that SSPX would move its headquarters out of KC to Chicago. Now mind you, that was 'talk' at the time. Why they would do that I do not know, nor understand. Moving from the 'fire', (kc is a humid, hot mess in summer), to the frying pan. Chicago has got some great properties, but people are stuffed together like sardines, its nearly impossible to park a car anywhere, and the libs are as off their rocker as in California or New York- really scary stuff.

They are most likely transferring him so he would be under the careful watch of Father Rostand who will command "obedience" from him since he would be his superior. I cannot understand how Bishop Tissier would allow that unless he has a motive for coming here himself. God help us.
