Problem is that +Tissier and +Williamson should have made an alliance against +Fellay right from the outset and deposed him if necessary to save the SSPX.

Yes, that's true, but hindsight is always 20/20. But after listening to +Tissier's Jan. 1 sermon, I see no way that he can remain in the neo-sspx. Either he will leave of his own volition, or Fellay & Co. will come down on him like a ton of bricks. +Tissier may get an 8 page letter from Fr. Phluger in the near future.

I disagree. It is wonderfully new. His Excellency Bishop Tissier has not spoken publicly in this manner since the letter of the three bishops if I am not mistaken. This is very hopeful and not necessarily because he will leave the Society, because it may mean something better than that.

I think it is very hopeful. He calls Fr. Pfluger and company “false friends”, “bad friends” who say “The SSPX is now in an abnormal situation because we are not acknowledged by the Church. The SSPX must come back to a normal situation and receive canonical statues from Rome”. As the “oldest” bishop of the SSPX, he tells the faithful to “reject” this position. This is not a small thing and I (personally) never heard him so fired. He must be appalled with what is going on in the SSPX leadership for +Williamson to dedicate and issue of E.C.s to it. We know “the train to Rome is leaving” but I can guess who will not be in it.

Well, yeah! We all caught his drift. Yes, I think Bp Tissier's days with the neo-sspx may be numbered. I think the sspx hierarchy is poised to act against him. One little overheard off the cuff remark from H.E. that not a single Jєω was gassed might do the trick.

Yes, I must agree with Pilar. This is no doubt exceedingly difficult for most to imagine, but nevertheless in terms of the spiritual powers within the Church what Bishop de Mallerais says in this sermon is more authoritative and mighty than Bergoglio and Fellay put together.

That is certainly not the way the world works, but that is how the Church of Christ does in humble truth work. Bishop de Mallerais is diplomatic and non-confrontational, as befits the Jesuit ways of the SSPX, yet in his episcopal context he is being as firm as super steel in this holy speech. Whether the Society follows him or not is relatively unimportant because those who are serious and have the power to decide human history will follow the words of this bishop like iron filings follow the currents of a magnet.

Almost no men speak with authority, but not all the combined powers of Hell have or will prevail against those rarest few who do. Bishop de Mallerais shows himself to be among the number of those most fewest of the few.
