Bishop Schneider Meets Leo IV: Part of the Theatre?
« on: Yesterday at 09:36:31 PM »
How believable is this?
The Pope won't meet with Fr Pagliarani "to avoid a schism", but he'll meet with Bishop Schneider. Nice timing! Just coincidental!
Are we on the way to further "unilateral recognition" of the SSPX by modernist Rome and incorporation into the Conciliar framework?
Why would the SSPX post this article on their website without any comment, without pointing out that they would not accept such an agreement without first agreeing on doctrine? Why? Because they would, just as they already have in the past.
It really is looking ominous to me, rather like Bishop Stobnicki said at the outset:
"The group holding power in the SSPX have decided to stage a drama, unfortunately not a good Shakespearean play, but a poor play by Fernandez. They will follow two narratives: one for liberals, the other for hardliners. Unfortunately, nothing has changed for many years – secret meetings with the Roman hierarchy and the search for a practical agreement without doctrinal agreement. This makes no sense. As Bishop Richard Williamson said, it is a betrayal of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre's struggle, a betrayal of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church." - Bishop Michal Stobnicki. A bishop of the Resistance.
I very much doubt we will see any excommunications after these consecrations. They are starting to look even more like part of the rapprochement agenda.

Bishop Schneider Reveals Details of His Audience with Leo XIV

February 24, 2026

Pope Leo XIV and Bishop Athanasius Schneider

The Vatican News website provides details of the private audience between Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of Astana, and Pope Leo XIV, which took place on December 18, 2025. In an interview with Robert Moynihan, broadcast by Urbi et Orbi Communications, Bishop Schneider shared some of the discussions he had with the Sovereign Pontiff.
During this interview, he elaborated on the assessment he had presented to the Pope regarding the situation of the Church, reiterating some points he had already emphasized in January when he alluded to the need for an Apostolic Constitution to guarantee liturgical peace.
The auxiliary bishop explained that the exchange was “open and cordial,” and highlighted—among the topics discussed—both the wounds he perceives in the Church and the spiritual impact that the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite has had on many faithful, particularly young people.

Five Wounds Weakening the Church
Bishop Schneider thus presented the Pope with a list of what he defined as the five principal wounds affecting the Church today, which, in his opinion, require urgent attention:
1. Doctrinal confusion, which erodes the clarity of the message of faith and could be remedied by a binding solemn profession of faith.
2. Liturgical anarchy and the confrontation surrounding the Roman Rite Mass, which has generated divisions within the ecclesial community.
3. Questionable episcopal appointments, with some bishops and cardinals, according to him, acting for secular purposes rather than following the Church's traditional teaching.
4. Deficient priestly formation, particularly in doctrine, morals, and liturgy, which he said weakened the preparation of future generations of priests.
5. The difficulties affecting the contemplative life, including references to problems arising around the application of the instruction Cor orans to the lives of contemplative nuns.

The influence of the Traditional Latin Mass on Young People
One of the most interesting passages of the audience, according to Bishop Schneider's report, was the Pope's recounting of young people who had experienced their conversion to God through the Traditional Latin Mass. The Pontiff mentioned this testimony with a smile, expressing his surprise at the spiritual power this liturgical form exerts on new generations.

The Society of Saint Pius X
During the conversation, Bishop Schneider also addressed the situation of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), indicating that it is right to warn that certain passages of the Second Vatican Council, a pastoral council, have been used as a new ecclesial paradigm which, in his opinion, requires correction.
He also affirmed that the Church must honestly examine the ambiguities present in certain expressions of the Council, particularly on issues such as religious freedom and collegiality, emphasizing that these are pastoral formulations and not definitive teachings of the Magisterium.
The auxiliary bishop stated that it would be a tragedy if the SSPX were to remain completely separated from the Church, and affirmed that if this “arm” were lost, the Church would be harmed and disfigured. He therefore urged Leo XIV to act magnanimously, allowing at least a partial integration of the Society into the life of the Church without the doctrinal question becoming an obstacle.
Bishop Schneider was very clear in referring to the position of Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, who demands that the doctrinal dialogue be resolved before any canonical regularization. The bishop described this approach as unrealistic, excessively harsh, and lacking in pastoral care, considering that it blocks any practical progress and prolongs a situation of unnecessary tension.
In his view, historical experience demonstrates that the processes of reconciliation and integration do not always begin with a complete doctrinal resolution, but can advance gradually, first fostering visible communion and leaving room for a subsequent, more serene and fruitful theological dialogue.

Yes, a physical union within the Pantheon.

At this point in history, I think the docuмents of Vatican ll are irrelevant.  I don't think they permitted sodomites to be raised to the highest authorities in the church or annulments, blessing of gαy unions, heretics to recieve communion, idolatry in St. Peter's, earth worship, discouraging conversions, raising heretics to "sainthood", and every other abomination that is present in the Novus Ordo establishment.

Is this about a Dec. 15, 2025 meeting?.
"...He therefore urged Leo XIV to act magnanimously, allowing at least a partial integration of the Society into the life of the Church without the doctrinal question becoming an obstacle..."

How can +S know Card. Fernandez' stance about demanding :

Are there copies of the letters of Fr. Pagliarani wrote to Rome in 2025?...and the responses from Rome? (completely unacceptable...)
Who is being transparent here?

Maybe I don't comprehend the timing of this article with neoSSPX; But I suppose word was out in the Vatican circus ( Circles) that the SSPX wanted bishops, and who knows what else. Mid-December relations were super positive...see Fr Schmidberger celebrations. Like they say in Legal jargon : "This doesn't smell right."
