It takes more than a superficial imitation of the style of St. Thomas Aquinas to craft something as well built as the Summa Theologica.

Unfortunately, your intellect simply isn't up to the task.

  • Bishop Fellay has recognized Vatican II and Dignitatis Humanae.

The SSPX was opposed to those errors for 40 years, until Bishop Fellay reversed his position.

    Yes.

So according to the dialectic laid out in the original post:

    1) either the SSPX was sinning for 40 years for unjustified resistance to authority

    Or

    2) it was right for 40 years, and those continuing resistance for the same reasons would continue being justified for doing so.

Writing in the style of St Thomas is one thing.

Writing as effectively is quite another.
Rom 5: 20 - "But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more."

  • Ite ad Thomam is right, let’s say NO to rebellion

NO! to rebellion against the true teaching of the Church on the Social Reign of Christ the King, a rebellion which is taught in Vatican II

NO! to rebellion against the clear conviction of Archbishop Lefebvre against a practical agreement before Rome professed Traditional doctrine in all its integrity

NO! to rebellion against the earlier assurances of Bishop Fellay himself that there would be no agreement without doctrinal clarity

NO! to rebellion against the social teaching of Popes Gregory XVI, Pius IX, Leo XIII, St Pius X, Pius XI and Pius XII

NO! to the rebellion of ecuмenism, religious liberty and the new theology condemned by Pope Pius XII

    Say NO to Rebellion.

I'm against rebellion against God and the Faith that he has given. That's why I'm against a sell out.
    Pray for me, always.

  • Has there been a better example of the merger in the prose/spirit of Aquinas & Orwell?

  • Ite Ad Thomam has been banned.

He is causing confusion during this Crisis in the SSPX by writing convincing (imitating the style of the beloved St. Thomas Aquinas) yet confused posts.

He simply doesn't understand the situation we're in today.

  • Dear Matthew,

    Thank you for banning him.

This is not a time when we can afford to have people confused by these men who seem to fly in the face of truth.

    It is perplexing.

They do not seem to have the ability to perceive what is clear even to the unintelligent.

My concern is for the effect that they have on the undecided at this pivotal time in the crisis in the Church.

We need to be careful, so that we are not led astray.

Now the clear truth about the crisis needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

    Thank you again.

    God Bless you, Matthew.
