Best place to buy traditional Mass vestments?

  • I heard about a set of (4) colors of traditional Mass vestments (chasuble, maniple, burse, stole, chalice veil) for $750.

Furthermore, I heard that the quality of this set was decent.

Does anyone have a link to where I can buy vestments for a good price?

According to one man I talked to, a chapel might pay $400 for a single color, whereas they could get all 4 colors of a similar quality for $750 if they knew where to look.

I don't want to be that chapel paying $400 for one color and overpaying. That's what I'm trying to say.
    Want to say "thank you"?

  • One of your members here makes the vestments for CMRI, you might want to contact her, she is the one Emerentiana, not to be mistaken from the other member who spells her name with two "m's"
    Please pray for my soul.

Matthew, I had started a thread about a month ago on "Beauty as a tool against Error" (or such title).

Here is my link to a wonderful store:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Four-Gothic-Chasuble-Set-Lot-Vestments-Green-Red-White-Violet-NEW-Altar-Priest-/161943547368?hash=item25b4966de8

This is for traditional gothic  vestments, 4 colours, for $699.

But if you navigate the website, you will also find ensembles containing gold colour. And also fiddleback sets, rich quality for about $1,400.

    Many copes etc. etc.

Contact Fr. Joseph Terra, FSSP. He's also a tailor who makes excellent quality vestments for seminarians, priests, and even bishops.

  • Although orders submitted now will be complete in July 2017, the Benedictines of Mary, whom the FSSP assists, do excellent work: http://benedictinesofmary.org/content/house-ephesus-store

  • Thank you Myrna for the endorsement.  I have made vestments for  14 years now.    I will give free estimates.   I make quality vestments .   I purchase the embroideries if your chapel wants them on the set.

PM me if you are interested in a quote.

  • Here is a wide roman ceremonial like the white and purple sets above in the first pictures:
In vestments, you get what you pay for.  Materials are very expensive.  The roman sets have to have the full cross on the back.  The chasuble represents the cross Christ carried.

  • Emerentiana the vestments are beautiful.

Could you re-post the pictures in the sub forum Buy and Sell under General Discussions?  That way we can easily access them when a priest inquires and not have to search through old posts.
    Thanks

I've purchased four colors for a small home chapel from Autom. They are $199 per color and are decent for the price.
