  • I was sent a link to a short video on the shameful reception the pope received back in 2011.

    http://mail.yimg.com/nq/mc/1_0_0/us/pim/mail/video.gif

There is a message attached in Spanish, which I copy below and its translation:

    TRANSLATION:
Shameful and disrespectful. It may be, amongst other things, that this was one of the reasons he left and, although it may look like a joke, it isn't! The video, although it is explained in Polish, can be divinely understood, and most appropriately said.

This video was not made public until the Pope retired.

The event occurred on 22 Sep 2011, and is from Polish TV. You have to see the brazen shamelessness and lack of respect shown by some bishops and archbishops refusing to greet the Pope. After seeing things like this, the Pope must have said, "Your mother can put up with you, imbeciles!"

The Pope did not deserve this, in my opinion. See how eager those fawning, faithless representatives are to shake the minister's hand.

    Two thoughts:

    1) I don't know the English saying, but in Europe the bloody French Revolution (which spread all over continental Europe) minted the following saying :

The revolution always eats its children.
    (Die Revolution frißt ihre Kinder.)

The Vatican II revolution was also the liberal Fr. Ratzinger's "baby", and until now he clings to it, so we have to conclude he wants it that way.

    2) Your video link doesn't work for me, but if it shows a meeting of the pope in Germany with a majority of German bishops and cardinals (and they know each other well because they're, well, liberal brothers-in-arms), then I heard the following theory back then:
Many of these clerics would already have met the pope on the same day but before this official photo shooting, and so they probably already did shake hands before on the same day. Which means it wouldn't be impolite to not shake hands again.

But that was a theory which I never bothered to examine any closer. After all, it was the revolutionary liberal double-thinker Benedict XVI whose words and actions we wouldn't follow anyway.

You are right, the link I put up does not work. This should be better:

I know it seems very long, but it worked for me just now. I tried the shorter version, but got nothing either.

By the way, I understand what you say and agree in general, but it is still most shameful for prelates to behave the way they did!

Dear 1531, it very much looks like you're linking to a video attachment being in your personal in-box folder of your e-mail account. So linking to this won't work usually for us because we're not logged into your account (luckily!).

Maybe your video shows some source link somewhere, i.e. the link to a public website with that video?
If not, and if you would want to share that video with us, you could save the attachment file locally to your disc, and then upload it to some public place, for example to a file host like www.mediafire.com or similar, where you can upload files also without an account.

Modern computers and software are really difficult to use because they're so bloated. It was much simpler back then with a good old Sinclair ZX Spectrum (and much more funny, too!).

That's true if they were Catholic prelates, but alas they're Newprelates in a Newchurch with a Newpope who altogether are so shameful to insult the Almighty God with nearly all their words and actions all the time.

Is that the correct English proverb? What goes around, comes around.

  • Conciliarism is an evolutionary construct. It encourages, even insists on, a endless succession of reforms. And I would guess that Joseph Ratzinger is prepared to sacrifice himself on the altar of this new philosophy and go down in history proudly as one of its architects.

  • Perhaps they knew he was a main figure in the Vatican cover up of clerical paedofilia over the years.

Well, the whole world knew he harboured these paedofiles, embezzelers, and ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ "priests"........problem is no one could hold him accountable for these crimes (yet).

I think Ethelred's quote applies quite well to how Ratzinger was treated:

"The revolution always eats its children".

I'll try and follow your instructions. You are right that I got the video via my email, so I shall try the 'mediafire' thing, though I don't have a clue as to what the 'or similar' could be.  Sorry about the mess-up. Lots to learn. Oh, dear, Ethelred, looks like I need some lessons on how to download stuff.   Thanks for the tips.

As to the ZX Spectrum, I still have mine! Safely packed away for now. When I was travelling and the batteries of my colleagues's laptops ran out (because there were no ways to charge them), my ZX just kept going right on! and I always carried a spare set of batteries. Those were the days!

If you read the comments after the video, I think it's a misunderstanding.
